[GAMEPLAY ONLY] So how are you enjoying Patch 1.4?

Seriously, gameplay only. Don't mention that you can't log on or that Crysis 2 ate your grandpa. Seriously.

What's obviously different? What's working better for you now? What's not as strong as it used to be?

I haven't had much time to play but so far the headshot change really seems to make fights last longer at long-range because you are both less likely to get a lucky headshot. This makes the Grendel much stronger since you can get precise bodyshots at long range-- it also makes all the single-shot attachments and sniper rifles better at long range. This is probably the main reason OSG got slightly nerfed-- was so that it stayed about the same with the new long-distance balance.

Module balance doesn't seem TOO different. Weapon Pro, which I already used for the most part, seems slightly stronger.

Mobility Enhance is still amazing and probably still the obvious choice-- so goes to show how smart the nerf was.

Not really noticing a significant difference with nano-recharge, but I'm only at tier 2 so far. Energy Enhance so far hasn't seemed to actually affect how things go very much-- obviously I'm operating with less energy, but that seems to be reasonably easy to compensate for.

The Jackal Single-shot still seems just as strong, thank goodness. I'm presuming that while they nerfed it, the corresponding nerfs to other weapons made up for it. Haven't tried it outside single-shot.

So I played my first rounds with the new patch. my performance in skyline was terrible before the patch, now its quite smooth. So i think the patch gave me a small performance boost.

But I did not feel a difference using the scar... still a little bit overpowered.

Has the weapon balance part actually gone live? I recall among other things it stating that SCARAB and SCAR ex. mags would only increase the bullet count to 46, but mine is still at 50.

I noticed some changes in sound - specialy in cloacked mode.
Hit detection seems sligthly better (Feline feels stronger in close range now).
Didn't notice any change in my ninja setup (energy transfer, stealth enhance, enhanced mobility).
Posibly smaller aoe for grenade and bazooka.
There is still no fix for random die/hit sounds in wall street map.
BTW: GOD DAMM Crytek FIX that menu music bug i am realy tired of turning sound off everytime i hit lobby - or at least add some checkbox to turn off music in menu. DAMMIT my ears are bleeding when you are destroing such a beautiful soundrack like that (Is it realy that hard? It seems to me like max. 5 minute fix).
BTW2: 1 hour without Crysis 2 has stopped working? Not sure if i got lucky or they realy fixed it.
BTW3: Objects popping in are back again :-/

at the beginning still problems with the stats; now seems to work! still very slow servers; damn, this could be such a nice mp game but the bugs make it hard to enjoy...

It seems too easy to kill people now. It's ridiculous.

It went from being moderately challenging to Dying in almost 1 hit from anything.

Marshall seems even MORE overpowered now.


AND HOLY JESUS WTF IS UP WITH MELEE'S?
You tap it the button and you slide across the room and now it seems to only take 1 hit to kill most people. Compared to the 2-5 hits it would take before because the detection was off or whatever.


Either they fixed this game and it's entirely weird to adjust to after playing for over 30 hours and being Rank 4 from it being so broken before. Or they just broke it more.

Okay. The point is there is no possible way the patch made people die quicker.

They made headshots do less damage, and increased recoil a bit on some guns.

The only difference I've seen is that instead of people spraying with silenced Felines, it's silenced ScarABs now.
So in other words, nothings changed, the game is still a spray and pray fest. Looks like I'll be sticking with BC2 until the next patch.

Crytek didn't said anything about the weapon update with the patch 1.4

Anyone who has the XBOX version of Crysis 2 (i presume it already have the weapon update) can just compare the XBOX Multiplayer and the PC Multiplayer?
