Sick and tired of losing f'ing xp

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 9:59 am

The game needs to update your profile between games at least. I've lost 1000's of XP because I lose connection to host or some other issue. It's really ridiculous, as this is the ONLY game I've ever had this kind of problem with. Hell, I just lost 6000 XP because I lost connection to a server. FIX this bug for god's sake.

Yep its been happening to me too. I have started keeping screenshots of my exp when I start and finish games.

I have a question in to EA about it but the haven't answered me yet.
At level 38 the Skill Kills II (second half of it) was unlocked and when I lost exp somehow, well I went back to level 37, when I got back to level 38 it did not unlock again and now I'm level 39 and still nothing. So yea there are still bug problems with EXP recording and staying that way. Would be nice to have the extra EXP.
Also The Alternate kills in the Skills Assessments and the rest under it are locked still cause I havent reached the level to unlock them yet but when I mouse over them, it shows the kills like 20/50 and so on. So if they havent been unlocked why are they showing kills?

Really frustrating! I agree they need to fix this.

Update! Just got response from EA so here is that they say:
Greetings,

Thank you for writing to Electronic Arts customer support.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience you are facing with the game . I would like to let you know that our engineers are aware of this. They are diligently working upon this issue and should get resolved as soon as possible.

I sent a message to EA about a similar problem (prior to the recent patch, it kept reseting me to level 1 each time i joined a server). They pretty much said Sorry, we've been hearing this problem a lot. We hope it doesn't discourage you from playing. Here's a coupon.

Then they released the patch, which just updated my issue. Now I start at the same level I was at when I applied the patch each time I launch the game.

Yea I agree no point playing if you cant keep what you earn. What coupon did they offer you?

I stopped playing for about a week prior to the last patch, but still having EXP saving issues through today.

I'll admit I had a small number of random disconnects here and there, but never in the level described above. Try and contact EA or something. Theres no point in posting these type of topics unless CryAdam or CryTom were to answer them directly. Also try exploring the forums as there may be ways to solve these connections issues on offical posts and stuff.

My issue is not a connection problem on my end, I can assure you that. I'm running on a 10mb/1.5mb business class cable and my system is an i5 2500k, 8gb of 1600mhz RAM, 570 GTX, etc. Like I said, it needs to update XP each round. It's one thing to lose one game's worth of playing, another to lose a couple of hours of XP.

Some people don't get it but in many cases game lose connection to server not because game sux, but because of unstable Ping while connected to some servers, so this is ISP/server location fault and it doesn't matter how fast your internetzz is.

Bandwidth =/= your network connection quality ;)

At least EA is aware of the problem and are working on it.

I still think it at least some of what's going on has to do with server admins bringing down a server in order to purge a cheater in mid game or right after a match and you get the disconnect. If you play a new game on a different server before the one that was disconnected has been re-started, I think that's where we are loosing some of the EXP.

Well even one good latency spike can cause disconnection from server, so even servers which show small ping can just spike to 900ms and woop you lost connection ;) It happened to me earlier but now i play only on EU servers close to my location = no problems at all, and to have XP updated i play 4-5 games and switch to other server. By doing it i don't loose any exp, except situations when my ISP/Router go down :D

Did i said that it ONLY lag fault, can't you be less childish in your posts? On another hand, yeah because every single problem with connection to server game it's ALWAYS game fault, are you even damn serious? =.="

Community on this forum is freaking amazing, how about you stop being sarcastic and use some brain cells. Its a fact that many d/c is caused by short but high lag spikes, even someone with very basic knowledge about web network know that. It happens in any multiplayer type game, FPS, MMO, w/e....
Soon we will end up witch people biching about problems, and group of developers which are trying to fix that problem but they look into wrong place. Why? Because community lack common sense and they blame only one, in their opinion, right source of problem.... the game. Because of course there us no other explanation... oh wait, there is many like, short lag spikes, modem/router and its software, PC software, junk or overall mess in PC software, server quality, server location, player location vs. server, and so on and so on..... there is tons of other things which can cause instability of game/network =.="

I'll stop being sarcastic when the game even remotely come close to working....how about that? As far as trying to fix it?....well I am going to need proof because every "fix" they do makes the game worse for the masses.....you can't argue with that.

I paid 60 bucks for a game that doesn't work and keeps getting worse. Unlike consoles we can't recoup any money for our games.....do you see why were a bit frustrated ? I literally have less than 2 hours logged on the MP because basically what's the sense? I either get disconnected, can't connect, or if I do get a round in my XP is lost and any unlocks I get are relocked later. The SP was fun the first time....now even on the hardest settings the AI get's worse. The game on the hardest setting is incredibly easy to beat....where is my money's worth? I feel completely ripped off, and that's throwing the whole DX11/ and crappy look to the game out of the argument.

i see...do you have 64 bits system too? maybe's that i wonder?....but i really hate that in order to you get your stats saved, you have to actually leave a server...shouldn't it be saving after each match?....if i were to lose some points i earned in a match that i got disconected, it doeasnt matter, cause most games dont count kills till you have ended a match....but leaving servers to do so...is just ridiculous, that cut the possibility of playing more then just 1 match per server or so.....and hopping you dont get a laggy/dcing one cause results the same....wonder if this will be fixed or not....

PS: Controller crappy K/D ratio FTW!!!!!
