Can't load previous checkpoint saves

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 3:50 am

Basically I'm at a point where a tunnel collapsed behind me when I thought I would be able to go back, and I left a very nice weapon back there while I was testing out the microwave gun for the first time. So because of the lack of normal saving I figured I'd svck it up and load the last checkpoint. Problem is when I go to the load checkpoint option and try to select one, nothing happens. It just sits there. I've tried both clicking on it and hitting enter. Hitting enter makes a noise but that's it.

I searched around a little but didn't see any topic on this issue, anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

You can access your savegames via your "My Documents" (Windows XP) or "User"/"My Saved Games" (Vista and 7).
Open the folder "Crysis2" and then "SaveGames".
(You might need to change your view of the folder to "details")
Select the newest objects (might be two ones) and delete them.
Start the game and you can play from the previous checkpoint.

Ok that worked. I'm just wondering now though, why does the game have a "Load Saved Game" menu that lists all your checkpoint saves if your can't actually load them? That seems really weird.
