Before or after the new 1.4 patch, crysis 2 will cause my PC to completely shutdown. Before the 1.4 patch, C2 would play until the first scene where the SEALS/Marines surface to the water from the destroyed submarine. Randomly during this sequence, my PC will completely shutdown.

After the 1.4 patch, C2 actually completed this scene with the opening credits (although would minimize from "full screen" to my desktop) until the loading screen, which caused my PC to shutdown again.

I've installed and run Crysis 1 without any issues at max settings. All drivers for all components are current and up to date (all was installed on a fresh install of Vista 32bit SP2, with all current updates, on a new SSD "solid state drive"). Running an AMD athlon dual core 2.4 ghz, geforce gtx 260 oc (PCI express), 4 ghz ddr3 and an audigy 2 sound card. All running on a 620watt power supply.

I get the same thing all of a sudden. I have a liquid cooled cpu and tri-sli and yesterday morning it ran fine. Then I fet home and when I start a MP it will just freeze and I have to restart twice to get back into windows.

I have also reinstalled and does the same thing. Homefront and Metro 2033 run fine. I even extreme stressed my system to see if it was a stress issue or temp but it would run flawlessly for 30 mins no problem.

30min its not a stress test... 5-8 hour is more like a decent stress test with Prime95.

i could only do 30 mins this morning as a was up late installing the water cooling. I think there is something wrong with the Crysis 2, but will run a longer stress when I get home from work.
