No Vehicles - I don't think so

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 10:34 pm

For all the german readers:
http://www.pcgameshardware.de/aid,807928/Crysis-2-Multiplayer-Alle-sechs-Spielmodi-enthuellt/Action-Spiel/News/

Read the article complete.. the last 2 Game Modes are 'Assault' and 'Extraction'.

And Crytek has not told us anything about vehicles yet.
Maybe they don't want to show us that?

Look at Crysis 1 at pre-release.. They also don't told us much!
AND: Look here:

Jaw - Joint anti tank weapon (I'm curious to why this is the description ... does this mean there will be tanks?)

Thanks for a great discussion!

Isn't Assault a mode from Far Cry?

I remember this cause I remember reading one of Talon's post, saying it was his favourite mode. :P

Unless that was just a dream. :\

Yeah.. I think Crytek just don't want to tell us (till release) that there are vehicles. I mean, it's Crysis!!!
Think about that.. :D

I can't possibly see how vehicles would work in a 6v6 though.. maybe its just 1 or 2 on a map?

the anti-take launcher is just for the air support, no tanks in the MP.

I hate tanks, they ruin a multiplayer with invincible spawn-raping

Thats a very strange description of the weapon then. Oh well , Perhaps modders can get 16v16 on PC and revive crysis 1 hehe

Heh heh heh, thats just war. I feel the same though at times. Going against a tank when you have nothing but a sub-gun is all kinds of pointless.

I saw somewhere someone found mention of CW2 in the code though, so we may get a stand-alone MP in the end, which is probably going to have vehicles.

Land, sea & air combat vehicles would be awesome addition to crysis 2's gameplay because it will increase the replay value a lot.im tired of playing fps games with a lack of substance & depth to them because those kinds of fps games get repetitive & boring real fast & are a waste of money so the more the merrier.

I'm kool with no multiplayer vehicles as long as that doesnt mean they slack off with the singleplayer vehicles. Im expecting atleast like 70% of the vehicles from crysis 1 (atleast the essentials) like tanks, apcs, aa vehicles, VTOLS, boats (Big and small), attack helicopters, trucks, and some humvee type vehicles. And hopefully they dont take away some of the other ones like armoured vehicles and hovercrafts. It would be really kool though if they maybe released a crysis wars type of expansion with power struggle and vehicles even if its a while after release.

Even if there aren't any vehicles in the normal game (Or multiplayer) then I hope there will still be an option to add them in the Sandbox editor. They give so much power against the AI, and flying helicopters is great fun. -and blowing them up.
