Not that bothered, the MP looks pretty meh to me. All these games like COD, Crysis Wars, BFBC, Unreal etc that are basically deathmatch, that got old with Quake 2 back in 1997. If you want proper MP gaming you need something like Battlefield. Massive maps, vehicles, multiple weapons and gadgets, classes, tactics, squads & squad orders, proper comms, commander assets and upto 64 players.
Deathmatch = Run around, shoot someone in the back, get shot in the back, respawn, run around shoot someone in the back..... etc
Can't wait for the campaign though.
I do appreciate the large scale multiplayer, but I think Crysis 2's metagame potential is greater than most other run and gun style games because of the depth of tactics that takes place during gunfights. With most run and gunners you die very quickly which gives no real opportunity to maneuver during combat, but with crysis you do have a short window to out maneuver your opponent even if they land the first blow.
In Crysis 1 mp and Crysis wars you have two very distinct areas of gameplay...the large scale type with tanks, aircraft, and lots of sniping...and the tight gameplay that most of the skilled players focused on. This tight gameplay is some of the very deepest I've experienced since I started playing games in the early nineties. It took me over a year to really get a handle on all of the gameplay possibilities in crysis mp...while it took me all of a month to get Cod4 (I haven't played cod since that one because I didn't much care for the cod5 demo).
My biggest issue is whether the perks, weapons, and suit modes will be balanced well enough to get a good variety and steep enough learning curve to ensure hundreds of hours of gaming before it becomes dull.
