Games for windows Live vs. Steam

It is already clear that Crysis 2 will support PC - Games for windows Live. The real problem is that it can not compete with Steam services. For unknown reasons, Windows Live is continuing its miserable existence - The developer chooses that shines brighter.

Let's ask the players what service is more convenient for them.

I'd add:

Voted for Steam. Games for windows Live as a service from itself represents nothing.

Nononononononono NO. WHAT?! Crysis 2 uses GfWL?! Source? What is this crap? Are you kidding me?!

There's no way they'd go that low. Even for EA, this is a pretty lame move if it's true. GfWL is something that poor developers have to resort to. Not high-budget triple-A titles like Crysis! You've got to be joking me.

Anyhow, please do provide a source for this.

Dj-iceman

Crytek and Microsoft are now friends - 100% Games for Windows Live on PC. This is obviously - as the day. I am willing to bet 1$ million.

Steam by far is my preferred choice. They offer anti-cheat, auto patch downloading, great customer service, master server, good overlay, great sales on games.

Anything other than Steam support will leave me kinda empty of a soul. :|

If anything, i would not vote for either. Lets face it Both are good for what they offer, but both are making mistakes. Games for windows needs a bigger slection, community more deals, stuff like that, Steam needs to stop incorperating all of their bloat ware in games eg. Steam intsaller (what a joke), plus offer a better offline mode that does require an internet connection. The list goes on.
(also Games for windows does have an auto patch system that works like Xbox live, and my experince with steam support has left me blank, while GFW support sloved every issue i had) Maybe i just have reverse luck or something.

Hi guys,

I'm closing this thread because I don't see any worth while discussion coming out of it and it's spreading rumors about stuff that simply hasn't happened.
