Hey guys, I'm planning on getting crysis 2 for my laptop. The thing is, I NEVER played a game on it. I also never bought anything for my laptop. I was wondering if the graphics will better on PC than PS3 WITHOUT a graphic card. And if I got a graphic card how much will it be and will it be max graphics? I have Windows 7 and I'm not even sure where to look for the settings on my computer, so if someone can help I will appreciate it.

1. The game wont even run without a graphics card.
2. Laptops are basically non-upgradable in terms of graphics cards (hard drive and RAM usually are)
3. A GOOD graphics card is usually anywhere from $200-$600 (a decent card is usually $200, super-high end can be over $600 - this is for DESKTOPS)
4. To find your system specs go to:
menu -> computer -> system properties
that will tell you about everything (everything important, that is. CPU and RAM) except the GPU (graphics card). To see your graphics card you can either click "Device manager" and go to "display adapter" or just right-click your desktop and go to the ATI or Nvidia control panel (depends on what card you have). If you dont even have a card it wont give you an option.

I'm guessing you have a laptop just for searching and writing because you have no graphics card so if you do want to play crysis 2 you are going to have to get it on a console if you have one or your going to have to buy a brand new desktop or a high end laptop.

Your laptop doesnt have a video card? Forget playing Crysis 2 on it... You will either need to buy a gaming laptop/desktop or just buy it for console.

If you do buy it on PC though and you have one that's graphically capable, it will look and play three times as good. :P

So you can see WHY Crysis 2 will not work on your computer along with some specifications of your laptop, follow:

1. Go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/
2. Search a product by typing its name or select from the dropdown menu. In this case, search or choose Crysis 2
3. Click "Can you run it?"
(Note: Before System Requirements Lab can anolyze this computer you need to give your permission to download an ActiveX or Java Plug-in component called SysReqLab.cab, SRLApplet or System Requirements Lab from Husdawg, LLC. For more information about this component, see below. You may need to disable any Pop-up blocker you are using in order to use this service. )

Then your laptop's specifications will be compared to the games requirements to see how well you can (or cannot) run the game.

I went to that website and I can run it but I need a video card. Their really expensive and I already have a ps3. Is it really worth it to buy and graphics card, when I can just play it on ps3?

You will definitely enjoy it more on a ps3 than on a laptop.

Let me guess it has about 10 minutes of battery life. Never saw the point in "gaming" laptops, they just feel like underpowered noncustomizable desktops.

Lol, you have to have a video card dude. Otherwise your computer wouldn't work. Find out what you have, and tell us.

I run Crysis 1 on a laptop with a Radeon 5400 mobile. I can run it on medium and get playable frame rates.

If your "card" is some intel integrated crap, forget it.

Just to make it clear, you CANNOT upgrade a laptop at all, so you're basically stuffed for playing it on PC. Get it on the ps3.

Just build your own desktop next time you get a computer :) It'll be relatively cheap and far more powerful than the trash you find in places like PC World.

if don't know what graphics card is in your pc theres a 99% chance that your game wont even start. and even if the game starts up ps3/360 will run the game 5 times better and have better graphics then your pc.

Get it on ps3, you would only have to spend $60.
You pretty much have to get a desktop PC if you wanted to run this with decent framerates. (Unless it's an expensive gaming laptop). However, if you're willing to fork over a good $800 for a Desktop PC, you can build yourself a pretty slick machine these days.

X2.

Chances are, you will be able to run it on the minimum unless like Logan said, you have an interageted chip rather than a separate graphics module.

Post the specs of your laptop so we can give you a clear answer.

Min system specs are posted HERE. <<
