pc demo closing in

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 5:19 am

I was just looking on the Crysis Twitter and i saw
@juliusroessler We're not ignoring you, we're just really busy at the moment prepping the PC demo, let alone completing the game. Could this mean that we could be getting the demo in a week or two ?

Maybe they will release it on 14 this month along with a trailer of prophet and psycho making out because of the valentines day and ****.
Hahah, I can already imagine them releasing it that day as a 10gt file and after we,ve been downloading it for 9 hours a banner opens and says
"The PC multiplayer demo has ended, thanks for participating".

There was already a topic about the keyboard configuration: armor is on the "Q" button and cloack on "E"

Crysis 2 may not, but Crysis (1), Metro 2033, World in Conflict, Stalker (latest one), etc. on Max settings definitely will.

You need high power for those on DX11 (besides Crysis) at Max settings.

Now that there's a leaked version out this would be the BEST time to release the demo.

Show people that the leaked version doesnt represent the final product, show how much better the final product is, and get the vast majority of people downloading the demo instead.

It may be delayed due to the leak having the master key. I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer.

If the demo isn't out next week, I'll be disappointed.
If it isn't out in 2 weeks, then I'll just try forget about the whole damn demo.

can't wait for the demo... I'd like them to hurry a bit up :P

Every day I watch and rewatch the videos in details ... and every day I get more impatient ^^

Demo won't be delayed due to the leak and most probably, it will be released at the end of this month. This is all speculation, but everything points to this. So relax guys and be patient ;)

That is unfortunately most likely the case with the PC community.
They should really just hurry up with the demo release date or many people will just download the leaked version instead.
It's sad that it has taken so long to release a demo for Cryteks original fanbase, while the xbox360 demo was already out almost 3 weeks ago! This waiting is starting to get on my nerves.

might be a bad show for pc gamers; but what he says is true..right or wrong..the lack of demo will guide alot of people to download the leaked game.
EA and Crytek have, by supplying an "exclusive" demo for the 360, made the rest of the gaming community eager to try the game.....good marketing ploy..raises game attention and gets people really desperate to try the game on their systems...in this instance though its turned round and bitten them firmly on the arse!!
the community is eager to get to grips with a game they have waited for and been taunted with due to an exclusive demo.....things have gotten to feaver pitch with the wait for a pc demo.....
now people have the chance to get one, legally or not....they will! right or wrong, they will.....
its horrible for Crytek....and before anyone says anything ive been supporting Crytek since the original was in its first stages of beta!...i just dont post much in this forum :)
but its a situation that has been exasperated by a choice to make an exclusive "one system only" release....whether that was a financial choice, coding choice or simple server choice because lack of coding wasnt there for the pc version is besides the point.....

the ONLY way to firefight this now is to get the PC demo out asap! plain and simple....supply the community with a demo that has full DX10 and 11 ability...then the community wont download the torrent....some will for sure..but chances are alot of the damage possible will be severely limited with an official release!

I really hope they don't delay the release of the demo, because of some incomplete game on the internet.

They should do the smart thing. and promote buying the full game even more.
Just hope Crytek isn't dumb enough to make things worse for themselves, by over-reacting to the leak.

As far as I can tell not many people care about the incomplete build, we want the real Crysis 2 experience.
