Crysis 2 Frame Rate Issue on Asus G73JW gaming laptop

Good evening!

I want to ask you something regarding the play-ability of Crysis 2 on my gaming machine.

I am the owner of an Asus G73JW gaming laptop.

The specs are: Intel Core i7, Gtx460m 1,5gb, 6gb of ram, 2x750GB HDD.

I Installed Crysis 2 and I have the following problems:

a) I can play this game ONLY in Gamer settings - If I max it out to Advanced or hardcoe I cant play it at all..15-20 fps.

Here is the thing: Every article, benchmark, test I saw on the internet regarding Crysis 2 played on THE EXACT laptop I have shows that the game is played on max settings (1600x900 resolution) and the FPS is great.

I dont know how is this possible as I said, i can ONLY play the game on Gamer settings.

b) Even on Gamer settings everything goes fine, the fps is ok but after some mins i get an increased fpd drop rate and I cant play the game . I need to alt tab to windows then go in game again and everything is back to nomal, but ONLY for a few mins when the problem reappears.

I am really ''desperate'' about this.

First of all : Why I cant play on higher settings with this rig/

Second: I accept the gamer settings if I cant go higher but even with that I get those fps losses.

Any advice?

p.s. I have the latest nvidia drivers (270.61) , I even rolled back to my old 270.51 beta ones and still didnt change anything.

Prolly I need to reinstall windows? This I didnt do (Win 7 64 bit ultimate)

/thanks a lot
