I am in the same position. My CPU is quite weak but my GPU is decent. I am running a Core Duo 2 at 2.8GHz. From what I understand, this game does make good use of a multi-core system so a Quad is a benefit. No one can say for sure right now because we don't have access to the final product.

I've got the same one as your's I think. An Intel Core 2 Duo @ ~2,83GHz. For me, personally, Crysis 1 runs at high-very high settings @ max resolution (1900x1200) with AA on 2. My graphics card is a 250GTS, so I'd recommend a more powerful GPU and at least a dual core processor for Crysis 2.

"In Crysis 2 Flows, a good GPU cpu from? Have a good GPU but not so a good CPU"
My interpretation: (Correct me if I am wrong)
"Hey, I was wondering if Crysis 2 will run on my system. I have a decent GPU but not a good CPU."

If you look at the minimum requirements that are posted on this fourm, you can see the the minimum CPU is a Dual Core 2GHz processor. By today's standards, that's a pretty modest requirement. Most budget, non-gaming PCs usually have at least a dual core processor in them, so as long as your CPU isn't 5 years old, I think you're fine. (However, on the flip side, one of the Developers did mention that Crysis 2 will take good advantage of many-cored systems (4-8 Cores.) So if you spent a good chunk of money on one of those Phenom X6's or an i7/Sandy Bridge, you'll definitely see a good preformance boost in-game.) As for your GPU, As long as it's a GTX 200/HD 4800 Series card or better, you should be able to run it on Medium to High settings. Once again, look at the minimum specs and use your judgment.

I want to know if Crysis 2 is more CPU dependant than GPU dependant. Crysis 1 was a GPU hog.

I'm hoping it's more CPU heavy as my GTX315 is pretty lame but Athlon X4 2.9 GHz runs my games quite well.

It'll be very gpu heavy and quite CPU heavy. You'll want a decent quad and a gtx460+ for very high. But for medium a dual core and any decent dedicated card from the last 3 years should be fine.

both gpu and cpu heavy. For medium a good cpu and a good gpu from the last 3 years shoud do fine

Cryengine 3 supports up to 8 cores, and as we all know, Crytek loves to T-bag your GPU.... now they will T-bag your CPU as well.

It SHOULD be pretty equal for the first year or so, but once we see better CPU's with more than 8 cores it will fall to the GPU, as did Crysis 1 (c2d + 8800gtx was a great match, but once quad came the GPUs started lagging behind).

I want them to take advantage of both. I'm really hoping it uses eight (or even more) CPU cores properly. They said Crysis would use quad cores properly, but that wasn't the case.

Hm think 8-10 months from now :Fusion from amd and intel z2011 on the way.

Tip:if u have 300 dollars go buy a gtx570 its a beast and should guarantee that u play all maximum for the next 2 years

cpu actually does matter on the performance, but not as much, wi would say stick at least with a quad core and youre good to go, core 2 quad would be nice. i think crysis 2 would be more of gpu consumer.

I hope it's more GPU heavy and utilizes quad core CPUs. Crysis was somewhat bottlenecked by CPUs, as it only utilized 2 cores.

I can almost achieve the GPU power of a nerfed 5970, but CPU wise, I'm probably just a little faster than an i5-750.
