You are perfectly fine. If you have some extra cash laying around though, moving away from that LGA775 platform would be a very good idea. ;)

Sorry to take advantage of the situation, but I have a similar setup..., not really expecting to max out fps, but hearing someone else might sooth the anxiety.... i have a q8400, oc'd 3.2, 750i and gtx460's in sli? Do i have a fighting chance? or will i be doomed to never enjoy the game with my old build....

Well since we are on the topic, has anyone got any info on the Minimum and Max Specs given by Cry? Should answer the Question for most people ;)

Crysis 2 works on maxed settings with myne configuration:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40 ghz
4gb rams
nvidia GTX 295

So if i can play it on max you can eat it ! :D

Yeah I'm currently using a EVGA 780i with a Intel Core 2 Quad at 3.0 GHZ Yorkfield, and an 8800 GT. If what they say is true about this being way more optimized then Crysis 1, then I should be able to handle max DX9 myself. As for your rig, Ide say at max Dx11 you will get about 40 to 50 fps. That's a powerful build but if anything your CPU is going to bottleneck cause the LGA775 like mine and yours is really dated compared to the new i7 sockets and x58 chipsets.

And if i oc it to 3.2 or 3.4ghz will there be some bottleneck? i hope not XD
Well, i can oc the fsb to 1800mhz, memory to 1800mhz and the cpu to 3.4ghz and with gtx 580 do you think there will be posibility of bottleneck?

well, i think that yes, you could easily run it on hardcoe settings, because crysis 2 is in the city and there is no tu much to load like on crysis 1, and i dont think that the cpu will be bottleneacked.
