In my opinion, the Demo was amazing. I'm actually meaning to say that when it shut down, I've barely been going back to CoD Multiplayer. I've been clawing my eyes out for this game to show up. Luckily I'll be able to get the PC Demo as well.
Graphics were highly impressive, better than any set standard I've seen thus far on an Xbox Game, and I own allot of them; most heavy titles that I just don't think compete with this game's looks.
The gameplay was highly well balanced, and easily well thought-out. I found it took the best of both worlds from Halo and CoD And put a CryTek Mix on it; Giving players Great Customization for their gameplay style, giving them the ability to play their style right with Armor, Speed, Stealth, and Strength, and using fast paced gameplay to keep players entertained and on the ball. A Unique experience to say the least. Simply the best multiplayer Experience I've ever had to say the most; taking this quote off of my Facebook: "1 Map, Two Gamemodes, only 4 [+ 1] Guns, a few attachments, and a few perks... And its easily the best Multiplayer Experience I've had to date."
The only issues I had were Bullet Tracing. Sniping was a true challenge for me, but though I eventually got the hang of it, you'd have to hit stand-still targets, never the ones that were moving. You'd basically have to get lucky otherwise.
As well, are we suppose to see the shadows of players who are cloaked? Because I've seen them before, and was wondering if that was a fluke or meant to happen.
From there, I had no problems really. I'm really itching to see what work the SMG's can do, along with improved Bullet Tracing. I've also been so ready for this game, I jumped back to a Crysis 1 single player Demo to see what CryTek Changed and what they kept.
Honestly, I think that CryTek didn't downgrade the suit, however, made the gameplay more balanced. To the hardcoe Crysis Fans, I'm sorry, but being all nonbiased towards the Gameplay, this game is probably better off.
I actually liked how they integrated the speed and strength abilities into the suit as passive traits, then kept Armor and Stealth as Active Traits. It would make more sense to call the suit an upgrade then. Get rid of two active functions, making them passive, so the wearer only has to worry about two better made primary functions to work with, in this Case, Armor and Stealth.
I was also kinda iffy about the power supply. Then again, I suppose it is well balanced; I just use stealth allot to creep around, and also during sniping. I felt like I spent more time hiding so It would recharge rather than out scouting or aiming down the scope. But I suppose sacrifices are worth and made to deter camping. I did appreciate armor mode however, in tough situations. It gave me extremely well and improved survivability, killing an entire enemy team at one point on crash site. Though, I might feel it works a little 'too' well. I suppose in my case it did, others might have had problems though, I'm not sure.
I've also got room to mention the Melee Mechanic. I honestly didn't have a problem with it ither, noting a thread where a few stated CryTek changed it to a 2 [3 w/ Armor Mode, 1 With Assassination] Hit System like Halo. I feel like this was a more positive move, but over all, I had no problem with Campers Meleeing because I was usually sniping them from atop the map (I mentioned I usually sniped stand-still targets earlier. I like being an Anti-Camper.)
Overall, I can't wait for this game. I preordered a Limited Edition as of Saturday, and I'll be attending a Midnight Release if I can (There will be a Midnight Release, right?)
I have to say, I haven't been this stoked about a game since Halo 3. But I know this game will blow the Halo and CoD Series out of the water.
Simple. Amazing.
Maximum Win!
