DLC exploit?

Since the multiplayer maps in Crysis 2 are just stored in their own folders, if someone buys the DLC they can just let people copy the folders and let everyone get it for free, no?

No, probably not.

With patch 1.4 they improved the encryption on their resource files. It hasn't been cracked yet. The DLC will probably also have some kind of feature that ties the purchase into your online account. Just having the files won't be enough.

Impossible is nothing, the internet has one of the best hackers ever.
There's a hack for everything. How do you think people get WIndows 7 for free?

We will get our DLC maps for free. They will alternate the coding to that It'll work for everyone.
Have faith in hackers guys.

They match your account resources to their database...

"ohh that dude play DLC but we don't have his account listed as an DLC buyer" - Permanent Account Ban

Yep, and what most funny in this checking system is that it would be good and fair and people wouldnt have any problems with it but thanks to game bugs, server disconnections and cheaters running and gunning on maps, also thanks to hacked leaderboards with guys like 1,000,000,000 points and very unique short time of gaming - people dont want to buy any DLC.

Its sad, because the overal game concept was very good, graphics were better than in other FPS games... but they **** up with development process and too many painfull bugs came out with the release. Crysis 2 could be good machine to making money but now its like game over.

Wow, would've never thought that I one day would be happy to have played Black Ops and Modern Warefare 2. Those little bugs in Crysis 2 can't anger me at all now. I'm immune! B?M!

Lol, it's funny how the security on the vanilla game is cr4p, however the security on the stupid DLC is **** awesome and no hacker can break it.

Just being possible doesn't mean you're allowed to. It's possible to smash your neighbours car with a baseball bat but it's not allowed. It's possible to hack a game but it's not allowed. Both may yield more or less serious consequences and our whole society would collapse if everyone did whatever is possible.

People whine about Crysis 2 running multiplatform while others do their best to prevent one from being strong enough to accommodate exclusive releases.

It'll cost, pirating is not allowed and if you can't afford it, make do without it.
