Throw your weapon in C2?

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 2:03 am

Idk if this has been asked before but I would like to know if it's possible that you can throw your weapon in Crysis 2.
I think maybe you could do this only in the singleplayer because of the ranking system in the multiplayer.

Thanks.

You mean drop your weapon, like in C1 when you pressed J?

@crynetsecurty89:
Yeah, that's what I meant..

It was cool to use the bug to hold J, enable the Strengthmode and release the J key after some time and see the weapon flying :D

Id much prefer the abiltiy to grab somebody by the face, instead of neck then run along while driving their head into the ground hulk style.

What I want to know is if there are tons of little assets to pick up and throw. I remember in C1 and Warhead you could walk into a korean hut and pick up hundreds of things like dishes, chairs, fruit, local fauna like frogs and tarantulas, etc. Most of it wasn't useful but the attention to detail made it very immersive. It was cool to hit someone with a broom or throw a basket to knock them down. Throw a pineapple at a korean's face and see his head recoil as he goes "oof!" :D

I recall in an old interview, Somebody said they were keeping those details in Crysis 2. Idk if this has been confirmed, but im almost certain you can.

Personally, I enjoyed the six burner stove and the tyre-fitting machine. They both have great mass and inertia, and tend to tumble a fair distance if you throw them in a low arc. Just the other week I hit a group of eleven KPA with a single tyre-fitter from about sixty yards.
I did catch a clip in one C2 trailer of what looked like a postbox bouncing upside the cranium of an enemy soldier, I just hope you can still throw the assets a good distance. I loved sitting in cover and watching a KPA patrol try to figure out how their C.O. was splattered by a large appliance that fell from the sky.
