Private match customization

Well this is mainly for competitive play but a lot of people felt stealth and maximum armour basically meant dirty playstyles.

I wanted to know if there will be an option to ban certain abilities in private lobbies and if there isnt I put this forward as a suggestion.

A lot of competitive players were hyped but were put off by the beta due to the camping styles the stealth and max armour gave.

i think there is a "no-suits" variant.

i found something about this in the forums,i cant find it now.

I know theres an option for no abilities

but thats kinda pointless as the suit is what makes the game unique - by being able to JUST ban stealth and max armour it would be a hell of alot better

Question: what's left if you remove Cloak and Armor? Jumping? The only other thing left is the Nanovision, which is downright useless, unless Crytek will add maps with heavy smoke use, or players spam smoke grenades (and how often have you seen that happen?).

if they up the heatscale on cloaked players it is very useful for that.

Stealth and max armour is horrid. Fair enough you can play that in public rooms but when people are playing it out for money etc. we dont want extra health or invisibility.

By having these in it actually reduces the chances of the game going competitive (which it would have a good chance of doing if you could ban the two abilities)

The OP's whole point was to *remove* Cloak. So no.

And I still don't understand what'd be left in the game if you removed Cloak and Armor, you'd just end up with a generic shooter that allows you to jump high.

If your playing in a competition for money, im assuming you have the skills to adapt to gameplay, everyone has the ability to use armour and stealth so its not a balance issue.

Armour mode is what you should ALWAYS be in if you are in a firefight, if your not in armour then your not playing the game properly, stealth can give good players additional tactics.

As in the previous 2 Crysis games, when its released people will use a lot of cloak because they think they are completely invisible, once players play the game more and start to adapt to certain tactics and see cloaked players over and over again, cloak basically becomes useless just like it is in Crysis and Crysis Wars.

Its what i have never understood about competitive gamers, saying remove this and remove that from a game, i can already see it happening for Crysis 2, they will cry about the suit modules and not want them being used in their competitions, the suit modules are available for everyone to use and they are customisable to your playing style. If your losing, its because the other player is better.
