Just wondering if this is normal or whether its a setting I need to change.

Basically, when I try to play some MP instant action quick games. About 80% of the time I get sent to an empty server to wait for it to fill. Which usually never happens after about 6minutes of waiting.

Actually clicking on "Join game" to select my server, Filtering out empty servers, and full ones, with instant action as the only other filter. I'm faced with at most 9 servers, everytime. All of them showing upwards of 200 ping.

I'm using a D-link, Dir301. With port forwarding setup, uPnP turned on and "gaming mode" enabled. I've also set up the DMZ, but this made no difference.

Anyone suggestions, or is this normal?

i assume you have patch 1.4?

otherwise mabey people are tired with this game to much problems errors and no support from crytek so mabey people are not playing it anymore.

I believe I have the patch, I'm running it via the EADM, so it should update automatically.

I have a hard time believe that theres <100 people playing this game online

I guess i'm not the only one with this problem. I try to play the same kind of matches. I tried to play instant action just last night, and i could only find two servers with players on them. One was full and the other was unranked. Surely there are more people playing than that.

well make sure you have patch 1.4

check your filter setting in multiplayer make sure you dont have empty server our full servers locked out

make sure your region is on all that gives most servers

It's 1.4, on both machines (running separate net connections- ie- 2 different locations.)
I do have empty server and full servers crossed out. As I want to play on a server, not get stuck trying to connect to a full one- or wait 15mins for a server with only myself in it, to populate. (Can get over 200-300 empty servers)

Region has been set to any.

At 0108, with the oly filters being to not show full or empty servers. There are approximately, 2 servers showing in the browser.
One with 3 people, and 1000ping. The other with 4 and 109 ping.

Guess I'll stop playing
