Upgrade My PC Specs for MP Performance and for Crysis 2

Hello!

I currently play Crysis Wars and eagerly waiting for Crysis Wars 2! One problem I get in Crysis Wars multiplayer is when there are too many explosions, such as artillery, airstrikes, tac nukes, etc. I start getting a LOT of lag. Only if I exit the game to desktop, and relaunch the game (without restarting the PC) everything goes back to normal gameplay without lag.

Is there anything I can do with my hardware to help overcome this problem and to prepare my PC for Crysis 2? My router is connected by LAN cable to my PC - it is a WRT54GL but is already at the end of its life - thinking to substitute it with Linksys E2000 or E3000.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
