Will the suit wheel return on the pc version?

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 12:52 am

Will it? I played the xbox version and was saddened that the wheel was nowhere to be found, so will the nanosuit work the same way on the consoles and pc, or will the pc get to keep it?

Yes, it's back.

Theres armour mode, customisation button, stealth mode, and two others that I dont know.

The point is that its back.

Clockwise - Armor -> Visor -> Cloak -> Weapon Customization -> Nansuit Customization, from what I remember.

that sounds super lame. So much for going strength mode to chuck a grenade far or going speed mode to run at blistering speeds or reload faster eh? Modules. meh.

I assume grenade throw will work in the same way jump does, i.e. hold down the throw button. I remember seeing 'nades chucked quite a long ways away in X360 MP vids on youtube.

seems kinda clunky doesn't it? Instead of being fast paced and running around, throwing a grenade and then strength jumping somewhere while turning around to blast some enemies you'll be slowed down considerably because now the jump and grenade throw aren't instant actions but instead have a 1 second delay or something?

Hey, I don't like it either, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I just hope grenades don't explode in your hand if you charge the throw too long.

In MP they do, I know that by accident.
In SP, it should be like Crysis and Warhead where you can hold onto it as long as you want and through it where you want as opposed to playing hot potato.

The same nanosuit modules you can use in multiplayer are also available in singleplayer. There was a thread that listed them all, but I lost it. They basically give extra suit functions and boosts, like faster energy recharge, less energy consumption in armor, a target tracker, etc, organzied into 3 categories. In multiplayer you can use one of each, but I'm not sure how exactly it works in singleplayer.

It's kinda lame because if you're in action and want to switch to different suit mode, you will probably accidentally open weapon or nanosuit customization menu and stop, lose your ability to shoot or strafe to defend yourself...
But if armor, stealth modes, customization of weapon and nanosuit, are binded to keys, you wont need the wheel anyway. But it looked real cool in Crysis so I would like it to stay the same!

Uh, you don't stop moving when you open the customization menus. At least you didn't in 1. You simply couldn't shoot, but you could still move around and even switch suit modes, iirc.
