Computer specs

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 10:13 am

Hi I'm debating on getting crysis 2 on the pc or the xbox 360. If I get it for the pc I would want to be able to run on High or maxed so it would look better then the xbox version without framrate issues. My specs are:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
System Manufacturer ASUSTeK Computer INC.
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 9216MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 260
Approx. Total Memory:4069 MB
1 TB Hard drive

I did the "Can you run it" test and everything was in the green for the minimum requirements but I'm not sure if my computer would pass for recomended requirements because it didnt show the test results for the recommended. I'm definetly no computer Guru so thats why I came here to get information if my computer can handle it easily or if not I'll buy the xbox 360 version. ty for reading.

My only suggestion is to upgrade your video card from the old GTX 260 to the GTX 5xx series. Everything else looks absolutely great though, you should hit max easily with just one upgrade! :P

Lets put it this way, I'm expecting to run it in my laptop: Q9000, ATI 4670

The General Discussion is not really the place for this, it is more of an Off Topic question :)

It seems all you need is a new non outdated video card. Simply solution, buy a new one.
Don't know which one to get? Check this out: http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-6850-6870-crossfirex-review/13
The top ones are just the cards I have, but down near the middle, it has a chart of a lot of cards, the higher the number the better.
There are newer and better cards out there, so don't forget to do your research and look around before making that final decision.

Is it me or is part of this topic suddenly missing? I was searching for the name of a game mentioned in this thread when I noticed part of it is missing. Or am I mixing up two topics?

It's likely, especially if you overclock it.
