Developers Hack

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 3:57 pm

In recent months FPS developers have placed on market games that do not meet the markets expectations. Infinity Ward went away from a sound private managed server paradigm to it's own net. Crysis 2 thot it was ok to offer an incomplete FPS multiplayer, but now you can purchase new maps to this imperfection; an administrative decision to increase profits.

If the marketplace keeps buying, those peeps pawning you for more money (managers/ and executives) win; don't buy anything from EA (Crysis, Battlefield, Pong, whatever), until they reform and return to some product integrity.

Have some self-discipline; don't reward inferior products with your hard earned cash.

Ok, lets say we don't buy their games

Battlfield 3 Sells terribly

EA then will stop publishing any other battlefield game, DICE will go bankrupt or will have to go to more secure market, consoles/android/iOS devices

and they won't release any other PC game, if they do it would be a extremely bad port

there would be no updates or patches for BF3 and the game will die as well as the franchise

you see, if you don't buy their product, they won't be like working twice as hard, or releasing everything for free, they will just turn to another way of selling their games, consoles/Phones

Mastergiux, that is not really the case we are getting horrible console ports. The BF franchise has been a very succesful fps franchise that was being developed primarily for pc and sold a lot on PC alone. Then DICE made bc1 which was console exclusive...

Why? All past BF PC exclusive titles sold exceptionally good but they decided to exclude PC on the release. Seeing how it sold good on consoles they decided some aditional sum of credits from the PC would be a good idea and made a PC version of the sequel, Bad Company 2 which was a console game in every way you look at it (small maps,no graphical differences at all and charging you for useless cosmetic DLCs) and yet it sold good, much better than ps3 did.

What im trying to point out is that BF franchise has been selling good on PC and yet they ignore it because consoles might sell more, its all about the monies.

The Linux/open source community would be very happy with this news: "No reason to stick with stink old windows and mac any more!!"
