*PLEASE READ* When you go console!....

According to Xbox LIVE data published by Microsoft's "Major Nelson" yesterday, Crysis 2 isn't even on the top 20 most played games on Xbox LIVE, with titles such as Call of Duty: World at War and even 2007's Halo 3 making appearances on the list -- meaning that more people play said games than Crysis 2.

Things only look worse when we take a look at statistics on Steam. According to the service, there are currently 472 players on right now, with the "peak" being 551. We're unable to take a gander at numbers on the PlayStation 3 version.

I told you CryTek, i told you about the consoles... but you didnt listen... ohhh no you didnt... maybe you got a nice numbers on the "sales" charts, but thats just because you lied all of us about a HUGE SUPER SEQUEL and you gave us a simple console **** and crappy port, filled of bugs on release date, making it unplayable (nano catalist bug anyone?) and no advanced video options!.....

When you go console..... your games fade away in obscurity....
In a distant future, someone will remember Crysis 1 as the top Video Benchmark Game that lasted as the Most Good Looking game from 2007 to 2011 (or more), and NO ONE will remember Crysis 2....

In my C2 team, i m alone with the game on steam and we re 15 players...

I don't think we need 2 milions people playing C2 online, just need some thousand players for keep the multiplayer alive.

Who plays this on Steam anyway? Seriously, why pay MORE (!!) money for _NOT_ getting a box/ cd and the having to run some stupid program in the background? Might as well burn the spare money....

it's funny how people actually think the steam numbers mean the total number of players playing the game. When in reality it only lists the people who bought the game on steam.

It is also funny how on my server browser, there's always at least 200 servers completely full. Lets see.. 200x16...

From all the hate I'm starting to think I'm playing on the servers from a parallel universe.

OP +1. Crytek's once godlike reputation is lost. They are spread too thin to be innovators, and it is dubious that the likes of CryEngine 3 can fix that. Crytek waited too long to release a new game and tried to do too much with Crysis 2, much like Microsoft with (ahem) Vista.... But Crytek is no Microsoft. They cant be having fun. Maybe its time to sell.

@freemon: wow, I NEVER see that many from western USA (which may well be a parallel universe).
