Crytek I love you and all but you have majorly wrecked this game by putting up your dlc for ￡7.49 (UK) when you have announced you are releasing the mod tools for free soon.

This is a serious douchebag move as it is clear you have a set agenda for milking this community for all our moneys before letting us rip with the sdk.

I understand your intention of keeping things fair between the console and pc community but as you probably know by now we are seperate in our needs and it will show that for the pc gamers you need a different marketing strategy ,in other words for pc you make your money by getting every pc gamer to buy the game ONLY.

You get more money off consoles and since you want to move to multi-plat forever but be there for the pc crowd this seems like your only option unless you can do one better .

This model tends to work though as your income is steady and over a long period, not get-in-get-out strategy with consoles so please consider this and when ready please post here.

You may notice that your servers on pc are near empty and trust me when I say they will be forever as we pc gamers are smart and will wait for the sdk.

Re-release the DLC for free and refund the unfortunate few that bought it and watch your numbers rise sharply, if not..well you will see youself alone.

I for one will NOT buy the DLC and future DLC on the basis of these points mentioned.

No point setting up a strike, no-one is buying the map pack anyway on PC.

I think maturally in some way most are in a strike or something, I for once im not buying the DLC maps because I just stop playing the game at all about a month ago.

Server's who upgraded to the DLC cannot be found for those who don't have the DLC? Is it just me or I don't see half the servers I normally play on, namely the NFO servers... I don't know who fails between Crytek or EA anymore. Both? A fail release, fail patching, month's and still numerous bugs/exploits/hackers, and now we got to pay for 4 maps? I was still playing the game despite all the issues, but this DLC is the official end to playing the game, which means no more putting up with all the **** Crysis 2 offers, and does not offer.

I find it unfortunate that Battlefield 3's publisher is also EA. Whatever, Battlefield 3 will crush Crysis 2 sales on every platform, and more considerably on PC. I supported Crytek, but, too many are unsatisfied with the PC version and all we got back was a nice warm F.U.C.K you from Crytek. Next time I see Crytek somewhere will be on http://www.epicfail.com/

P.S. I really hope people hold their ground with their complaints and don't buy the DLC. Look at their next release "Kingdoms" exclusive to XBOX360. It is clear that Crytek is heading towards consoles, so why support a company who won't satisfy and support its dying community.

On sales of the actual game I'm not 100% sure that Crytek DID make more from consoles. Digital distribution makes up a massive proportion of PC sales, and isn't counted in the released sales figures.

Only Crtyek and EA will know for sure, but I would imagine that on the back of C1 and CWs reputations alone PC would have outsold the consoles.

..Still, I don't know why anyone would buy the DLC when we may well be getting the bigger maps we all want via mod tools soon anyway.

I will buy the DLC.. When crytek release DX11 and a bugfixing patch.
It would be nice 2 know if they plan 2 do it.. and i think it would please the community further but instead there not saying a shiet...

Timing is way off and if they had to release the DLC to recoup costs they should have least waited until after the next patch. (if there is one)

It's a big NO from my side..This was the first Crysis game for me and is going to be the LAST! Glitches, lag, overprices DLC and no Dx11 support.

like I was saying in the first post this is not a hate filled rant/strike, I like crytek a lot for crysis,warhead and WARS. This behaviour isnt right though, WE KNOW about the sdk and mod support FOR FREE, this is pure douchebaggery set to milk us out of our cash before making the game wide open for our pleasure, they would get a much better reception and many many many more game sales over a much much much longer timeperiod if dlc was free and that is a certainty.

Console players will move on to the next game, the lifecycle is a lot shorter and demand more strategic marketing, a monkey would understand that. PC is different, initial sales arent as good but if you sort it out NOW over time Im certain your pc sales figures will far surppas the consoles and feed your income for future projects, pull moves like this on pc players allways the pc players turn off the tap and moves on.

I dont want to see that happen hence the strike action by myself and anyone else that wants to join.

I'm pretty sure that it has to be a credit card not a debit card.

debit cards work fine.

There will be a second DLC; than we will have the free map editor to enjoy the maps we want.
