pre-download demo for PC on Steam?

I agree, great idea. Maybe put the demo up for Monday loading and activate Tuesday? It'll break up the download rush a bit that way. :)

it would svck even more if you could only access the demo from EA's site so download time would take forever! because everyone would be bogging down their servers..... but yeah, that would be an awesome idea... but i dont think any demo has that high of priority in valves eyes. i know they do it for full games but not demos.... i dont think.... unless im completely wrong

I don't think it's a process that gets done for demos at all and is a process that only gets done very rarely for retail launches. Don't expect pre-loading of a demo on Steam to happen, sorry :)

What about a pre-load of the actual game? I think Warhead had a pre-load.

Sadly Warhead didn't have a preload on steam. I remember because I was kinda pissed it wasn't possible. So Crysis 2 probably won't either.

Medal of Honor.. Steam allowed the Beta (the second one) to be pre-loaded.. i remember it clearly because whoever preloaded it on steam got the demo some 10 hours late (and i was one of them)
