i have recently seen some montages of crysis warhead. the strafe jumping in that game basically lets you fly like a bird from what ive seen (players jumping off of a decent height then flying across the entirety of the map). seeing this is unsettling for me. if crysis 2 has this kind of super flying nonsense in it i will likely not want to get the game.

have you guys noticed if you could do this in the xbox demo (can you strafe jump in crysis 2)?

its not that the idea of strafe jumping to gain speed + distance and travel faster is a bad thing, to the contrairy. i see this as an oportunity to add a lot of skill gap into the game. that being said i dont think people should be able to fly like they can in crysis warhead.

see.. im all for the added skill gap, but i dont think you should be able to do it to such extremes as you can in crysis warhead. its basically ridiculous how far you can jump with strafe jumping in that game.

It was a lot of fun zipping around the map in a zig zag motion.

To rest your concern, no you can't strafe jump in Crysis 2.

I do wish it would return though, it was one of the best parts of Crysis! It really increased the pace of the game and increased the learning curve.

the multiplayer was the worst thing i played !!!
i still feel bad that i bought it :/

but crysis 2 multiplayer if better ofcurse
(yeah there are some silly things like server lag/game lag and the nano suit menu not working right)

Strafe jumping -
Players gloriously gliding through the clouds, raining hot, fiery death to those below.
Flocks of strafe-jumpers glide together in unison, barrel-rolling and gracefully rising ever upwards.
Air-strikes where the planes are people, with VTOLs and the strafe-jumpers engaging in intense dog-fights.
