My little "texture" comparison...

Okay folks its Wars vs Crysis 2 multiplayer... Im sorry but i had to use Microsoft paint and so the rezising wasnt as good as it used to be ;-) But i hope you guys can find some differences.
I just shot these pics spontaneous out of the game so i didnt forced anything to look good or bad.

Whoops.. as you can see 1680*1050 was my setting for Wars and not for Crysis 2.

Yeah I thought the texture res when you get close on Skyline mostly looked fine. I think there is a problem on Pier 17 though with low res textures in places or high res textures that were sampled at a low res.

Crysis 2 is beautiful. Crysis is also beautiful, but always felt a bit rough. Like it was trying too hard to imitate reality, and failing because of that.

I think the demo looks great, but we all know CE3 is more capable than what we've seen. So hopefully the mp isnt dumbed down, or we'll just have to modify it like we did with C1

Thats a hard thing to say... one is just as good as the other i would say.
Some textures are clearly better on wars not to mention the water effects.
But the lighting and the overall look feels a bit more right on Crysis 2.
I thing its a draw... especially when you consider that Crysis wars is a game from 2008 compared to a AAA title from 2011 ;-)
