To people who didn't like the multiplayer (of if you did)...

It seems about 90% of the gamesas community doesn't like the MP. But will you get the game for SP or just leave it?

I'm still getting this game I think it's great fun in MP. Been playing it with a few friends and they like it but I am mostly looking forward to the Single player campaign.

Its definitely not my favorite multiplayer, but its still decent. I am getting the game mostly for the SP anyway (like I always said I was gonna do).

Hopefully, with mods or dlc, we will get big maps/players again. Maybe even power struggle.

Actually, it's not 90% of the gamesas community...it's rather more of a minority of people hating on it. To my surprise, many other people are more understanding.

I WAS going to get Crysis 2 for singleplayer only, but the multiplayer is surpringly well done, so I'll buy it for SP AND MP :)

SP? You mean that linear cod clone? I think I'll await the reviews because I've heard so much negative news about C2, that it isn't an instant-buy anymore for me.

The thing I like about Crysis is that you can do whatever you want, especially long-range warfare. You can go to a high point, equip your SCAR with a silencer/sniper scope and then snipe the whole camp without ever bee?ng seen. That's fun when you're assaulting the harbor (lvl assault) in Crysis 1, or the village in Recovery. The small 'action bubbles' in C2 don't allow that kind of fighting.

The MP Demo has actually turned out to be pretty fun overall, even with the limited weapons and attachments. What I dont like is the ridiculous amounts of shots it takes to kill someone. Thank god for hardcoe mode.

It's funny if it was a 1-3 shot kill I would probably hate this game, but with how it stands there is so much strategy and tactics instead of I see you first win like in games like CoD. Outside of the kill streaks this game feels really balanced and really fun. Also it's good to see that I was right that there were more people like me that enjoy the demo than the loud mouth haters that put it down for BS reasons.

I dislike competitive multiplayer, if there was a "horde" mode I'd probably dig it but otherwise I never buy a game for its multiplayer features

SP ftw,
the MP is to much of a pure console port for me to be of any real value. I'll play it ofc, but it not something i'll keep up for long.

I see where you're coming from, but when I play hardcoe in CoD, 90% of the players see me first because I'm always hauling ass around the map, and if you're a seasoned player, that doesn't matter because you will be killing regardless of ''who sees who first''

Either way, bullet sponge mode or not, the mp is dare i say, somewhat fun, so far..

The MP is not the best I have played (Bad Company 2 takes that award) but it has been pretty fun. It's definetly better than any COD game, that's for sure.

But I am not a huge multiplayer kind of person, so my buying decision is going to boil down to whether or not I think the single player is something I think I will want to come back to from time to time after I have already beaten it once.

And I don't think it takes too many bullets to kill people in this game. I think the amount is just about right for both unarmored and armored.

when fighting one on one its ok, but when you're engaging multiple targets, you're more than likely ****.

There's nothing more satisfying than single-handedly clearing a room of 5 or more people with 1 magazine of your assault rifle, handgun, etc.

The fact that I like it (despite getting my ass kicked 90% of the time) says something. I almost never play multiplayer.

Don't know yet I'll have to see the final product with the DX11 patch. I know I won't be buying it before it has DX11 support.

And why should people be able to kill 5 or more opponents with 1 magazine in a multiplayer game? And while I am not big on people talking about realism in games, I think most people would expect that if they were in a 5 on 1 situation, reality or not, they would expect to be screwed.

years and years, hours upon hours of fps. Its not necessarily "should be able to" if one isn't capable, but having the option, get what I mean? Regardless, there will be a hardcoe mode, so its all good.

Yeah I get what you mean. I haven't heard anything about hardcoe mode, but then again I haven't really been keeping up with C2 news. But if that's true then I am happy we will both "get what we want" out of the mp. Everyone has different tastes and it neat that alot of people can get what they want with one game.

Nathan Camarillo was being interviewed by I think German journalists, and one asked if there was going to be a hardcoe mode and He said there would be, I'm too tired and lazy atm to find the video
