Hi, I have been playing mp for just about a week, it was impossible for me to play it prior to the 1.4 patch. Anyway, since the online experience has become really smooth, I decided to buy the dlc maps. Only problem is that I can't find anyone playing them on any server!!! I realize reception must have been really poor so far.... Why is everybody so negative with these new maps? They are pretty cool.

When we get the next patch more people will buy them, also people are concerened about credit card saftey on gamesas, I for one am not gonna be buying the map pack while the only option is to put your details into gamesas.

That and everyone is really pissed off that it isn't free.

Plus the fact that they made that 1st priority instead of getting out DX11, better anti-cheat measures, fix bugs and etc.

Long and short of it, a lot of people are still burned about the numerous problems present in the game, before they started banning serial keys the biggest issue was the blatant hacking going on. It still exists but no where near as bad as it once was.

I'm not angry about that stuff as much as some people are, but I'm going with the sentiments of 'waiting for the next big patch' before I buy the DLC, it's not a top priority for me and the current maps are pretty good so far.

if you really want to sell map packs, why would you only take credit cards?

What about Paypal, Click & Buy? Even if they patch the resetting perks, 1000 ping servers, etc... i don't have a credit card, nor will i get one.

I could buy it right now but i won't for a few reasons:

Not enough players have it yet,
Quite happy with current maps still,
Dislike payment option,
Would like to wait for next patch first.

There has been a concern that there are elements on the CC page that are insecure and that is probably justified. My browser (Opera) was showing that the page was not secure, the 'padlock' was open, but it also showed that part of the page was https classified.
What I did though was open another page with only the bit where you put your details into. The padlock then showed closed so I went ahead with the transaction.

Because the community could have done better in less time if they released tools to make maps.. and they freaking KNOW that.. instead .. they choose to try and gouge players for more money.. TRY that is.. dont buy the dlc peeps.. you wont get any bang for your buck..

Well I for one could not even buy the DLC if I wanted to because of the piss poor account setup. There is no way for me to link my GameSpy account to the gamesas Beta account even though the user name is the same.

I have searched and checked these forums frequently since release and still no solution.

So if I still can’t even redeem my limited edition content why would I even consider spending more money on this bs multiplayer that doesn’t have a working upgrade/experience system, is hacker heaven, and from what it sounds like a rapidly declining player base?

I have no problem spending even a $100 bucks on a well done game, but this surely isn’t one of them…

Only thing that's important to them is our wallet. And apparently they want it to get that without much effort. Piss poor game, piss poor support, pathetic patches that don't fix anything and stupid extra maps that they even have guts to charge extra for them. I mean WTF!? Are you ppl seriously going to buy this ****? Or even better, why are you wondering why there is such crappy reception? I'm unable to finish the singleplayer campaign because of some retarded bug that's so annoying i stopped playing half way through the game. My Crysis game name is **** e-mail which i also can't change to **** anything else so i'm not willing to play online either. WHich is also polluted heavily with cheaters (still). So why would i want to spend extra on a game that i can't finish, multiplayer that is **** up and tech support that doesn't give a **** about my problems. They can shove the DLC up their buttocks, that's what imo most Crysis 2 owners think.

Wow, you can't finish the SP and milions do... Cheaters? What cheaters??? I play 3 weeks now, and I haven't seen ONE!! Yes there are other bugs, but what cheaters??

Because Crybabies don't want to spend their precious hard earned 10$ on map pack, while they spend even 40$ on hacks.

Question guys... So far I've just seen servers with either new maps or servers with old maps? Can we mix "playlists" to contain both?

THIS. Even bio-pharmaceutical companies realize that communities can come up with better generic solutions through small-size community productions (i.e. generic label prescriptions that work just as effectively as the corporate model pill).

As a shareholder in bio-pharmaceuticals, it's appalling for me to see CryTek try to presume the PC community to be dumb enough to buy their 4 map crap pack. Ten dollars is a bloody ripoff for what could've easily been made in a week by the community... FOR FREE.
