Low FPS, is it only me???

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 7:25 pm

Hi all, well I have a problem and its the FPS I get in the game.
My PC is a AMD Phenom II Black Edition 3,2 Ghz, quad core, 4 Gb ram, Bus 1333, and my graphic card is an ATI Radeon 5750, I play many games like CoD BO, Battlefield bad company 2, and more with no problems, but testing the demo I only get abaut 45 FPS !!! (with a resolution of 1680 x 1050)

Any ideas of what could be wrong??

PS: I tested it with Windows 7 and Windows XP (I have both installed) and I had same FPS in both operating systems.

K, on your graphics card, a 5750, All settings are to (1920)
Gamer=40 max fps
Advance=25-35 max fps
hardcoe=20 max fps

The problem is your Graphics card, its not strong enough, a gtx460, that runs modestly on this game, is twice as strong as your card, and that card gets stuttered down to about 30fps, on 1920

Your card is doing fine, this game is doing well, but dont expect it to do miracles on any rig

Use these commands:

+sys_float_exceptions 0
+sys_spec_full 2

Do you know how insert them ?

Buy a better video card. I don't get a consistent 80 FPS with SLI 460s in the demo. Why do you think you need 80 FPS anyway?

Funny thing is, right around 45 FPS is when the motion blur cleans up. So he's in the sweet spot, really.

I get 60 fps on all settings with my 5870.
Shouldnt I get more with lower settings or is it because my monitor is 5 years old and only has 60 Hz?
I playo n 1680x1050

Dude, besides, unless you have a 120htz monitor, it wont go above 60, and even besides that, human eyes can only see 60, so your concept of 60vs75 is virtually impossible to see a difference......unless your afraid of graphical drops, but even then, its barley a difference.

Thats right, 45 FPS y got some motion blur when turning arround, and I usually play gamos with abaut 90 FPS+
But May be with 60 FPS is enough, but only 40 or 45 is low, and it might affect on ur skill. I used to play CoD black ops with Vert. Sync. on (having 60 FPS), and my scores were really bad, but I turned it off, my FPS went uo to 90 FPS, and instantly my scores changed. Thats why I prefer more FPS than better graphics. (anyway that depends on each person)

So I would apreciate if somebody can tell me where to put those commands +sys_float_exceptions 0
+sys_spec_full 2

Thnx all for answering.

Uncheck V-sync in the options menu.
When checked the game will match the refreshrate on your monitor. Since that is limited to 60 it will never go higher.

That graphics card is too slow for that kind of FPS. You should really think about buying a faster one, because that card is not for gaming.
