A Few Misc. Questions

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 12:21 am

1: Why can't I run Crysis 2 in 1680x1050 resolution? I have settings on the highest setting, my monitor's native resolution is 1680x1050, and yet it's not an option in the interface.

2: How can you change the field of view? It's a little too close for my tastes.

3: Is there a way to disable the 20 minute (exaggeration ofc) intro videos to the game?

4: PLEASE MAKE A MORE USER-FRIENDLY SETTINGS INTERFACE!!!

1. No idea how it doesn't let you do that :/
2. You can do it in the config files, IDK how to though
3. Add to the command line "+g_skipIntro=1"
4. How can you get any more user friendly than that consolised settings screen???

1: I'm stupid and didn't scroll far enough through the list. Resolved.
2: In native resolution it isn't TOO bad so I suppose I can manage until I find out how.
3: Where is said command line? Just on the dev console?
4: I'm imaging WoW's settings screen here. Where you can change the levels of anything (AA, pre-rendering, particle density, sun glare, etc) Don't get me wrong, my computer somehow manages to run maxed settings just fine, but still it'd be a little nicer to have a better interface there.

edit your autoexec.cfg and add:
g_skipintro=1 for no intro
cl_fov=75 for 75 fov
