Important information to Crytek developers

Greetings, and thanks for taking the time to read this thread. I will first and foremost let you know that English isn't my first language, so excuse me for my terrible grammar and whatever else might go wrong while I write. My point with this thread is to show Crytek what they do bad, and what they really have to improve to make this a successfull game, even if they've came a long way.

So, I began testing the demo when it was released on March 1st, it was quite alright and I really liked the graphics and the different features. But I soon realized that this game is so much like Call of Duty, it's almost a copy of the game, besides the fact that you actually have a nanosuit with different abilitys. I also realized that you couldn't improve the graphics in any way. I had heard so much about this game being a very graphical game which would require a better computer. So I obviously bought a new computer before the demo release and now I am not really satisfied with my investment. I expected so much more from such a successfull company as Crytek really are. When you have a game with a graphical quality like this, there -Has- to be additional optinions to improve it even more for those who has 'super' computers.

Ok enough about that.

I've had a pasion for games for the past 10 years or more, I am also an active player and member in the e-sport scene, and have traveled to many big events over the past years. The thing is, Crysis 2 has the ability to break through and reach the e-sports scene which would make you, Crytek a very interesting company in the future, take a look at Blizzard Entertainment for example and the makers of Counter Strike. They've made millions and billions of dollars, they have reached out to more gamers than anyone can ever count. Thats because they care about the community, thats because they have a place in the e-sports scene and lastly, people hold major tournaments with their games, and the prize money can rack up to hundreds of thousand dollars. Currently, the major FPS games in the e-sports scene are the Counter Strike series, but also Call of Duty has a very little spot in there.

Now to my point, Crysis 2 is the next generation e-sports game WHEN you have refined the game to fit into the scene. You have the graphics, you have the features even though you can improve on them. But the thing is, when you come release a next generation game, you have to make sure to use a STRONG anti-cheat it's the most important thing for now, to even have a chance to qualify as a popular game. Seriously, you use Punkbuster, only by reading the name of the anti-cheat you laugh. Because if you take a look at the game "Quake Wars" I don't know the whole name of it, but it was very popular when it was released. They had a big chance to get into the e-sports scene mainly because their features, but sadly they also used Punkbuster as anti-cheat. So Crytek, would you please **** listen to the community for once or you will be going down like all the other games. You need to develop your own anti-cheat with frequent updates, and while it's not a lot people who have seen hackers in the demo, they will be more visible in the retail game mainly because Punkbuster code is horrible.

Now I also want to add, when you look at games such as Counter Strike there is a lot hackers there as well. But, there was some super brains from the CS community who developed a anti-cheat who completely stopped the hacking in leagues for a very long time. I don't know if they're up-to-date at this date, but I do know that they're a lot better than Punkbuster, and Crytek should really offer them a job if you cant make an anti-cheat on your own. Go to google and type in "Easyanticheat" and you will see their website on the top.

Do this for your own sake, and for the ones who want a scene for competitive play of Crysis 2. I am going to quote a saying from another guy because I totally agree with what he had to say, and it's also an important role if we ever want to play competitive.

This game is broken badly...will take a lot to fix it. I'm very disappointed myself. I was looking forward to this for over a year.

If you think it is good to be able to sneak around, shoot someone in the back, kill them, and go back into cloak mode before they ever know what hit them then you don't understand good gameplay. The entire point of a shooter is to shoot at your enemy while they shoot back at you while you dodge and duck and cover and they dodge and duck and cover until one of you more skillfully lands more shots in the kill regions so that you get the kill.

Getting kills in less than a second on a supposedly super suit make no sense and make for crappy gameplay for the one doing the killing and the one getting killed. Crysis 1 gun fights were very good compared to most fps out there today (granted there were problems with mixing vehicle gameplay with firefight gamplay, poor performance, lack of game modes, cheaters, weapon to vehicle imbalance, less than ideal loadout menus etc). Crytek fixed many of these other problems and I applaud that, but they completely ruined the firefight gamplay. It is now a random luck fest unless you sneak up on someone and kill them when they are not looking or melee the crap out of them (even though you don't have to actually hit them to get the melee kill, i've done this many times).

Please don't confuse, I have no trouble finding myself at the top of the scoreboard with about a 2.0 kdr, but I don't have any fun doing it because there is no firefight fun with the enemies you are killing. And just wait until we add the rest of the overpowered weapons to the mix then we will have a real noob toob one shot kill fest. Not my type of game, so unless something is done with the ridiculously fast killing rate and the ridiculous lack of suit mode options (just make power mode an option to turn on or off and it is almost fixed, then you would be able to walk, run, and power sprint), then I have a hard time dishing out 60 bucks for something that is worse than what I already have installed on my rig.
