I have an idea for adding vehicles into Crysis 2:

As has been stated by the developers, C2 is a more vertical map than C1 and as such, they don't as of yet have any plans for huge maps like Mesa or Beach which were amazing monster maps for vehicles of all sorts.

In particular, I was a fan of all things flying (apart from bullets aimed at me); specifically I thought the VTOL was the coolest thing since iced cupcakes.

The attached image which I found over on incrysis purports to be from C2 but I'm not sure if it's in multiplayer or not, but I think the VTOL would be an awesome craft to have in C2.

Also what would be cool is the ability to fast-rope down from the VTOL as in the image, instead of the VTOL landing, just like what happens in "real life". This could possibly be some sort of perk you buy, i.e. you buy a VTOL with fast rope capabilities to use in the game.

Of course, if you go adding VTOL's into C2 multiplayer, it is very possible you may want to put AAA in but I think that as it's an urban environment, rockets should be enough (a la Black Hawk Down).

So, thoughts?

Uhm, yeah, but getting next to those 5000 degree jets that are keeping it in the air does bode a bit of a problem.
