DLC price flaw

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 5:13 pm

Hai.

I'm not sure if anyone at crytek is aware of this but the price for the map pack is flawed.
It costs 9.99$ which at the current rate is 6.90€ or 5.94£ (checked this on paypal currency convertor).
So why would any person in the right mind buy the same DLC for a higher price just to pay in their own currency.
The DLC is almost 15% cheaper if you pay for it in U.S. Dollars instead of euros.
Or am I missing something here?

It won't matter who converts the coinage, EA will not be paying the conversion fee...

LT: I bought C for £10, that doesn't make C2 any cheaper

Nice, thats a bargin!

I wonder if everyone is going to get DLC. If more and more packs are coming out this will help spread players across more servers. They would be stupid to shut the servers down that only run the original map pack as customers will stop paying if they are forced to pay to keep playing on continuously running servers

get used to it. anything outside the usa is always a lot dearer. laptops, petrol, games, clothes etc etc.
what we pay in £ for a litre of fuel america gets a gallon for the same price.
levi 501's were £75 here and in orlando they were $20

Due to the Dedicated servers - no one. No reason to

Ok, for those missing the point I was just trying to point out that the prices are not the same.
I myself am from europe and bought it in USD thus paying about 3€ less since 10$ is charged to my credit card converting into 6.90€
But hey, if you think 3€ isn't worth clicking on USD instead of euro then that's your problem.

If you think 3€ is actually worth anything then that's your problem.

He's just expressing he doesn't care about the 3€. You're saying that prices are not the same. He's expressing that he, himself, one forum poster, doesn't give a ****.

It's not about taking anything far. It's about expressing their opinion about what you posted on a MESSAGE BOARD. I really dislike social recluses the worst. So clueless.

I paid for it without question, though mainly hoping for fixes and improvement to the game in the future.
