Think of this though Hark, you won't have to worry about vader **** your **** up.
Heh. Well he really hasn't been a problem for a while since I'd often play on other servers.
oh and to those who are now hailing the arrival of DNF as "the game that caters to the pc crowd"
you are picking this

how exactly does DNF cater to the PC crowd???? How does it look better than Crysis 2? The gameplay mechanics are a decade and a half old!
Reasons why Duke Nukem Forever is better than Crysis 2:
1) The lead platform is actually the PC. Triptych Games is in charge of developing the game and they're developing on PC. Gearbox hired Piranha to port the game to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Does it have the greatest graphics ever? No, but neither does Crysis 2 since it's a downgrade from the original Crysis. Also, Duke Nukem Forever's PC version is priced at $50. Crysis 2 is simply a rip-off at $60.
2) Gameplay. Yes, gameplay. Duke Nukem Forever has awesome weapons such as a shrink ray that allows you to shrink opponents and step on them. It has laser trip mines that you can attach onto enemies. Levels have actual puzzles and consist of more than what Crysis 2 offers. From what I see, Crysis 2 simply has you switch to binoculars and the game tells you where you can flank, snipe, and where all the ammo is. Duke Nukem Forever will actually have exploration. Which leads me to my next point...
3) Interactivity. You can interact with so many things in this game. There are fully functional pinball tables, air hockey tables, and pool tables. You can draw on whiteboards. You can shoot basketballs into hoops. You can even pick crap out of a toilet. Environments encourage exploration instead of Crysis 2 which just tells you what you can do. The most interactivity Crysis 2 has is kicking cars. Oh wow!
4) The single player is 16-18 hours ON AVERAGE. Compared to Crysis 2's 12 hours AT MOST, it's absolutely massive.
5) The designs are far more interesting. Duke Nukem Forever brings humour and quirky characters. Crysis 2 brings in the same old military crap.
Do you want me to go on?
dude are you listening to yourself??????????
1: the lead platform might be actually pc but that means less than nothing. The lead platform for Mass effect 1 was the 360 and yet the PC version which was a port was actually better in SEVERAL aspects ffs! for the last time Crysis 2 is not a god damned downgrade just because it's not set on a gigantic tropical island (but you will disagree so no sense in arguing about it).
2/3: Gameplay and interactivity. All of these things -or most of- you could ALREADY do in the original DN3D. I, as well as others, do not want an FPS that is part puzzle game...we have those already (Portal) and evidently that is not was Crysis is all about. Crysis is about the nanosuit, the customization, the different approaches to each situation and the upgrades that are ALL fundamental gameplay elements..... all things DNF will never have because it's STUCK in the late 90ies/early 2000 (oh and the lack of sticky granades is hardly a deal breaker for anyone). Seriosuly you picked the SHRINK RAY as an awesome weapon?? it's a freaking 1 shot kill weapon (for the most part) mixed in with a crappy gameplay element to go through vents (totally optional BTW). You interact with Pinball machines and pool table and for WHAT? Seriosuly what does that add to the game itself aside for the existence of interactive pool tables?
4: Game length: dude TWELVE FREAKING YEARS IN THE MAKING! of course the game is 16 hours long did you expect any less? if it was any less I would be surprised....how is that even a valid comparison point?
5: Crysis 2 is actually a dark story driven game depicting a war WE ARE LOSING and the twisted human nature being often worse than the "monsters" themselves. Duke Nukem is obviously a borderline parodistic game in some of its aspects and a callback to an earlier gaming era in others how does that make it objectively a better game? you can tell me that it appeals to your preference but that's pretty much it.
so once again, seriously....go to the DNF forums and stay therew if that's such an awesome game. The crysis 2 forums will not miss you, actually they will probably be better off.
1) The lead platform being PC means a lot of things, actually. Just compare Crysis to Crysis 2. So many features have been lost or downgraded. The PC can simply do more. I know console gamers want to think their precious consoles can keep up to the PC, but the simple fact is that they cannot and developers often have to downgrade their games because of consoles.
2/3) Have you played Duke Nukem 3D? The only thing out of my list that Duke Nukem 3D has is the interactive pool table. As for puzzles, it gives variety to the gameplay. It's not only puzzles, but the environments themselves. Locations range from a hotel to a desert to a mine to possibly outer space and more. Crysis 2 is set only in a city. Crysis is all about options and exploration, unfortunately Crysis 2 just tells you what you can do and there is little room for exploration. The shrink ray is NOT a one-hit kill. A real one-hit kill is spraying the SCAR in Crysis 2 and accidentally getting a headshot. When you're shrunk, you can hide under tables and other objects to not get squished. You can also fire back and with a jetpack you can fly away from the enemy. The interactivity makes the game world feel alive. The original Crysis achieved a living world by having wildlife and many physics-active objects. Crysis 2 removes or restricts both of those.
4) Well actually, Duke Nukem Forever's latest version has been in development for about three years. The game has been restarted a number of times. Given that they also had to almost write an entire engine from scratch, it makes me wonder why Crytek can't make more content with their much bigger development team working on a slightly upgraded engine.
5) Duke Nukem Forever also portrays a war we are losing. The difference is that Crysis 2 has some lame military countermeasures whereas Duke Nukem Forever has just Duke saving the world, which makes the game a lot more unique. I'm also glad that I won't have to hear crap like "WE'VE GOT A MAN DOWN HERE!!" and "GRENADE!!!" in multiplayer.
I'm here as a fan of Crytek to show my displeasure at what they're doing to the series. The series can still be turned around, but not if they continue down this path. I know you won't miss me because you're too busy having your lips planted firmly on Crytek/EA's ass.
