Armour Mode, Is it Pointless? (MUST READ!)

It's probably lag. I find that if I'm shooting many bullets into someone and then they turn around and kill me in a couple shots, it's because their ping is much higher than mine. So yeah, the Xbox 360 version probably suffers from this more thanks to the crappy Live peer-to-peer system.

Not good idea taking all the damage. It would decrease the depth of play.

Yeah, it would decrease the depth of play by actually letting you know how much armour mode will absorb so that you can make informed combat decisions...

Agreed, I dont see how increasing the health or armour reduces depth of gameplay. If anything it makes you have to out think your opponent because you know they are powerful, you cant just blindly spray like you can right now.

IF they just had the Crysis 1 health and armour system the game would be so much better.

I use semi auto for a reason. It's fantastic because the damage is increased and you save ammo; I'm not surprised it's so successful against armor

I have to say, it is probably a multiplayer only problem. In the single player, the whole idea is that you're this super powered, half invincible guy. In multiplayer, if you were this powerful it wouldn't be fun because it would take forever to kill somebody. It's supposed to simply make you a small amount harder to kill, not make you invincible. Agreed?

I don't think anyone would argue that armor mode shouldn't be as powerful as it is in single player. But it seems the problem is that the effect armor has on a shoot-out is inconsistent, which is the possible sign of a bug, and should definetly be addressed.

But surely armour should be more resistant rather than the same number of shots wether in armour or not?

I dont expect it to make me invincible, I expect it to protect me more than when I am in normal mode and sometimes it doesnt and sometimes it doesnt.

Its inconsistent.
