Is there any way I can trick steam or the Crysis 2 client into thinking that I'm in Europe when I pre-download it?

What are you talking about? Europe is the last to have it released. North America including you, Canada, will be the first to have it on the 22nd.

It should be 22nd in Canada aswell as the US and 25th in Europe. No idea what the timer spits out, but the ones I named are the "true" release dates.

Because it'll be released on the 22nd, that's how long you have to wait for it to be available... If you're wondering, it's 6 days 11 hours here in Europe.
