Multi-player Map - Lighthouse Frame Stutter?

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 6:39 am

Hi everyone,

I am running Crysis 2 on an i7-870 @ 3.62GHz, 4GB RAM, & GTX 480 @ 835MHz (270.61) with a resolution of 1680x1050.

In the map, Lighthouse (not in any others), for multi-player, my frame will stutter if I turn the camera left and right facing the sea (both sides of the island). This only occurs at High & Very High settings, yet is gone with Extreme.

I tried to ask someone from the online technical assistance, and this guy actually said that my spec was under the requirement... then I told him that I wouldn't be able to run it butter smooth if my rig were under the requirement, then he was like... it was not a known issue and couldn't really provide anything constructive...

Just wondering if anyone has this problem and know of the cause and solution? Could it be the driver or some other problems?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I just found out what was actually causing the stuttering... it is the mouse movement... using a Xbox 360 controller is silky smooth, but using the mouse has this stuttering at certain places (usually when turning the camera around facing a far sight). I tried changing the DPI of my mouse and the mouse sensitivity in-game, but nothing helps... then I disabled Vsync from D3DOverrider and the in-game Vsync, then this stuttering is gone...
