Please dont fail at DX11 like Dragon age 2 did.

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 8:18 pm

To whom it may concern, (preferably developers and/or those that can reach them.)

Please don't F**k up with DX 11 like Dragon Age 2 did. That game is horribly unstable when it comes to DX 11. The game constantly crashes, even when I dumb down my graphic level. My GPU has the latest driver and I am quite above the recommended requirements so it's not my end.

Please don't disappoint me by either the above, or by totally bypassing DX 11.

Love,
Someone who wants to enjoy playing Crysis 2 and spent money updating my hardware so it would be possible.

Don't worry about DX11. It's not in the game that ships in a few days.

Thinks that will NOT be available with the release:

I'm quite fine with DX11 not being available at day 1 launch. I'm more concerned about the fact that they might screw it over like DA2 and have all these incompatibilities, crashes and fustrations. I hope they fine tune this, especially for the PC.

DA2 had a horrible PC launch (and expectedly so, actually), so that's not exactly a valid example.

the DA team is stuck somewhere in the past about 10 to 15 years ago

marketing is horrible, they do not list to the fans and suddenly decided to tur what was supposed to be an epic fantasy plot into some political BS (ok that's a matter of tastes)

let's hope the ME team does not fall that low

It will have dx11 at some point. that article says nothing about it being available at release.

i ran dragon age in dx11 in full quality with 0 problems.

most of the people on the forums were retards complaining because thier non dx11 capable video card was lagging because they installed the hi res textures when their systems clearly could not handle it.

Assuming thats not a misquote. Knowing IGN what he actually said was.

yea you are absolutely right, because i certainly didnt have any problem on dx11 maxed out with my msi twin frozr gtx 580 ( sli ).. really, the game ran absolutely fine on 1920-1080 around 25-35 FPS.. and the game looked absolutely gorgeous. specially those parts with console resolution.
