now all we need to do is take someone from Crytek and make them work for Bioware to

1: show them that NG+ features are important
2: License the CE3
3: Allow for a Nanosuit-looking Armor for Shepard in ME3

JOY

and to the above poster, follow the link, there is a video too

^going by their current track record, they'll make it purchasable only if you own C2+all dlc.

I think this is also a lesson the idiotic PC players (note the qualification of the statement, only the idiotic players of games on the PC apply, not all PC players) should take not of. It's very obvious from the size of the demo that the textures ect. were the ones present in the xbox demo too, although they were still of a slightly higher quality they looked far from what we'll see in the finished version, they were more like medium.

The only real issue i have with crysis 2 atm is TAA. That needs to become an AA option not the only form of AA, I'd rather have a performance hit and have none blurry AA please :P

What does ps3 version not svcking have to do with the PC version?

Sorry, but the pc demo wasnt a port, and was from the PC final game.

Lol, you console lovers just keep lying to yourselves. Crytek will gladly take your money in exchange for a worthless console port. Don't expect the rest of us to follow you though.

That's because fanboys always are, and there is not a more ravenous a fanboy than a ps3 one :/ At least PC ones tend to just spout the obvious in an annoying way.

I would take no AA over ghosting too. But in a perfect world they would have written code to do MLAA.

Because i'm sure you can see that the situation of 'zomg game is crap because of demo' was the same across all none xbox platforms because all non xbox platforms got the same treatment.

The PC version was most definitely a quick port job of the 360 demo. It may use PC code, but it definitely wasn't from the actual PC release. The only demo to get the actual version used for its platform was the xbox one, all the other were quickly thrown together due to the demand of a demo.

MLAA is pretty naff too, it blurs the entire screen. At the moment the only really worthwhile forms of AA are MSAA, FSAA and SSAA and crysis 2 uses none of them.

thats a fine and dandy theory. But how do you know its true?

As far as what ive seen from PC retail, there are no changes from the demo. Please post your proof otherwise because i havent seen anything that proves what you are saying.

We'll see on release day won't we? But if the demo wasn't a quick throw together why were all the options related to consoles?

Also, pictures of games have never proven anything useful when the differences will be small and/or post processing related. Look at the dirt 2 dx9/dx11 comparisons. Actually playing the game is a world of difference, but the pictures? utterly interchangeable.

With regard to texture quality, if it hasn't improved, someone will improve them over at crymod if the pc community doesn't just shun crytek entirely.

There was a patch that people with retail got, and it updated the menus/text to change press start to press enter, and the graphics option names were changed. So all of the consoles related options WERE STILL THERE in retail. and if you look at the sticky post that talks about the day 1 patch, it updates the start to enter. so once agian, the demo was the PC game, but they patched it for release to change the wording lol

Im hoping that people will be able to mod this game pretty soon because i feel the demo's q uality is what we will get on release.

Wasn't the patch applied to the demo? I'm pretty sure the retail build will have already had that sorted :) Otherwise the patch wouldn't have made it into the retail version.

Still, indeed, if crytek are going to skimp on the game, they better make it moddable.

They applied the patch to the 'demo'

but the retail version (which was likely already printed and shipped at that point) would be getting the "day 1 patch" which would have those changes. http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=9886

That tells me that the demo version that we got pre-patch was indeed the PC version.
