Hi my graphics card doesn't appear to be supported can anyone advise the best card to play the game? the game seems to load fine however my screen has a kind of morphing red flickerings everywhere

It depends on your budget, I recently purchased an Nvidia GTX 570, and I've been using Wasdie's program to turn up the visuals and it has been running well. How much would you be willing to spend?

If you look to upgrade your PC you must know that your graphic card uses agp slot while the new cards uses pci express and I suppose your motherboard can't support those... so you must buy a new PC.
Tell us what motherboard/power supply/what resolution your monitor supports and what graphics option you want to use. (high/very high ...)

System requirements clearly say: 8800 GT or HD3850. What's your problem then? Which one to buy is question of money and personal choice.

you can get crysis to run on very high settings (not extreme) at a decent framerate with a $100 DX10 card

If DX11 is released at some point, either you will need to spend at least $200 on a Powerfull DX11 card to run crysis with DX11 since a $100 DX11 card won't do

thanks folks that seems to be clear, I downloaded the program instead of buying hardcopy so It wasn't clear to me what card I should get or in fact need, I've never had a problem before with games so it does seem as if an upgrade is in order, I've only just tried to load the game this evening. Thank for the feedback, now where's my credit card...
