Our loved charackters... Crysis 1 *Spoilers*

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 8:50 pm

Psycho ,Nomad ,Dr. Helena Rosendahl.

So after many rumors on the internet its more or less clear that Richard Morgan ( or Crytek themselfs) didnt wanted to bring Psycho`s Nomad`s and Helena`s fate into the Crysis 2 Storyline. Some may blame the consoleplayers who needed a new charackter with "no" backstory to begin with. So they are MIA in Crysis 2.
I think thats clear by now.

Nomad and Psycho are well trained elite soldiers ( even without the nanosuits) they are especially trained on the nanosuit Version 1 and Nomad even fought in one of the aliens mothership or base or what ever and managed to get out alive.. So if Morgan or Crytek (or the comic) tells us that theyre really dead... it would be absolutely redicoulous in my opinion.

A no name soldier "Alcatraz" could survive in the urban battlefield without even being trained to use the NS2 but two extremely trained military "precision tools" are MIA or dead ? Sorry but thats just very far-fetched and not appropiate for a canon storyline. We guys who loved Crysis 1 and Warhead should have deserved to get a glimpse of hope for playin as Nomad or Psycho again in furhter titles. I mean it adds a lot of options for the whole trilogy-storyline .. because Nomad Psycho as helenas bodyguards and Helena herself as the Alien "relic" expert.. they would be a real cool chrackterset to follow. Maybe the player could play as Nomad or psycho in some missions where they hunt after some relics and search for an option to get rid of the seph.. and in other mssions we switch to alcatraz ... it would be a reconciliation for PC and consolegamers in Crysis 3.
A unknown fate for our loved charackters.. is an unfair treatment for us Crysisfans !

Those of us who played the original deserve an actual sequel.

I feel as if Nomad or Psycho will show up at the end of Crysis 2 looking for Prophet reporting in and asking him what the situation is.

What, you've got something against referring to crackers as crackers?

*************SPOILERS**************

You never find out if they are alive or dead in Crysis 2. The only thing that you find out is in a flashback that shows Prophet yelling at Hargreave saying that Hargreave knew the suits were symbiotic and that he knew what they would do to his men. But it never implies that the suits killed them. Maybe the suits symbyosis makes it more diffiicult to get away from it the longer you use it or something like that. So they became dependent on it or something.

I hope it's something along the lines of that, because I want to know what happened between the two games and think it would be more interesting if they were all in it. However, if it turns out they were killed I won't be surprised. The story of the game, while better than Crysis 1, was not ground breaking. It's Spielberg's remake of War of the Worlds mixed with the first Michael Bay Transformers movie. Characters are un-original, motive of the aliens is un-original, dialog is average overall. The hype of hiring this "amazing" author was not lived up to.

Prophet killed himself, how can they ask him what the situation is :S.
Also, after 3 years they're going to report it?
Face it, we got shafted.

hmm I never actualy expected anything groundbreaking, but none the less, the story is stable and not outrageous or obnoxious.

I read in an article probably a year ago that Crytek weren't happy with the story line from Crysis (and I guess by extension Crysis Warhead). They said that it was the weakest aspect of the game. This is why they brought on an successful science-fiction writer for Crysis 2 (can't remember his name)

The reality of it is most likely they just wanted a fresh start story-wise, without having to strictly follow a poor story from the first games, rather than "it's because of the consoles". Personally I really liked the back story of Psycho and Nomad (with the helicopter pilot from Warhead) and hope they feature in Crysis 3.

I think it is possible to write a good story in this fiction without getting rid of most of the old cast. It was probbaly just easier to somehow remove them from the story.

He put a bullet into his head.

**********SPOILER*******************

Somehow, his personality got copied or absorbed into the Nanosuit 2. So while the actual man Major Barnes is dead, his personality is "living on" in the suit, so to speak.

Psycho, Nomad and Helena go after Prophet into the island. They have to seperate from Prophet for some reasons.
I mean, a mothership since 2 million+ years ago able to destroy any big city by itselft. (Only if something like TAC gun never exist).
They might trying to figure out how to rise chances against those aliens.

Ps. Sorry for my english.
