Scar the only useful multiplayer gun ?

Iam currently lvl 21 and unlocked quite some weapons, including the grendel, feline, k-volt, marshall etc.

None of them comes actually close to the SCAR, as the SCAR is just the perfect balance of 1. No recoil at all and 2. The most damage.

With the SCAR you can kill at all distances with simply holding down the mouse button and holding shift, it simply kills everything in very few hits. This is not properly balanced imo. The k-volt and feline are only useful @ low to mid distances, the mg svcks at close and the shotguns only work at close distance. The SCAR has no downside at all, you can put a scope on it and basically snipe in autofire mode and you can even attach a grenade launcher to it. Whats the point in unlocking weapons, when the SCAR is simply the only useful Assault Rifle ?

I use the perk that allows to hold two primaries. i use the scar and the tipple shot gun.

Yeah SCAR needs a nerf.

For PC versions, all weapons need a recoil/spread increase. SCAR needs it most of all.

well.. when it comes to power suit then its understandable that we have so little recoil but when it comes to gaming and having some competition going on then this is a bit bad indeed.

I've seen noobs who even cant walk or jump properly doing so ridiculous lucky shots just by spraying all those 50 bullets in random direction - its stupid.

ofcourse then there is this pro mod, all weaps are kinda balanced in this mode tho... nubs dont have time to spray and pray - they get killed faster than they even know it.

dsg1 + reflex
second sniper
and that rocket thingie...

thats about it imo

k-volt is so useless pos that.. wtf is this weapon and why it even exists? :D seriously...


I've found that scar/feline/2-nd shotgun + suit recharge from kills, covert , less drain on sprinting n jumping is just OP :)

its like you are on steroids perma and basically no one is able to hit you, unless they are really good...

he won't die

he kill you with lol-scar shots

use the shot gun in single shot. that thing is lethal as all get out. in full auto the shotgun is ****. you can kill someone in 2 shots in single shot mode with shotty when they have armor on from 25' away. and one with armor off.

i guess scar is better than scarab close/mid range? am lvl 28 but havent tested scarab yet, but by looking at the stats scar really is the better option. That gauss sniper might compete with scar.

For LOW\MED range scarab is better - faster fire rate.
why is it better? rate of fire is slightly higher but dmg is lower.
also, does the 1 shot attachment scale with the weapon damage?

What they need to do is fix this damn latency problem. I mean... youll be face to face with someone and beating them down, but then you die. You look at the kill cam and theyre magically behind you the entire time? Latency advantages should go to the lower pinger, but MP has been defying that logic. I would also like to see some legit Kill Cam work instead of seeing some bs where dude misses 99% of his shots and his only shot that kills me is a hs.

Any other reason why the hit reg is 20 hits for 1 guy and 2 hits for another?

Back on topic. Scar/ab are the best imo. Best combo of far/med/close. Ive been using the Scarab for the extra melee advant & rate of fire, but i dont hip fire much so the melee doesnt do much for me

It needs more recoil and a bit more spread and we are solid.

LMG needs more recoil, but spread is fine.

SMGs are awesome right now, well balanced.

I'ma have to disagree. Scar is powerful, but I have almost exclusively used the Jackal (through demo and now) in combination with silent kills and I regularly come in 2nd or 3rd easy. Btw, Silent kills are boss, I have heard people complain about them being pointless but I have done nothing but own with them.

The SCAR is a bit ridiculous. The fact that I don't even need Aim Enhance (or Power Mode) to kill someone on the other side of the map with a gun that sports decent damage and a 40-50 round magazine is a bit much.

IMO the SCARAB is even worse though, because you can mount a silencer on that thing and just destroy people.

After I unlocked the Grendel, I used it for quite a while and actually got good enough to outgun all the SCAR users with it. However, I switched back to the SCAR just to see the difference in difficulty, and I died 0 times for the next 3 games using it, topping the scoreboard each game as well.

The main problem I have is that the SCAR is just so good at everything, there's not much point in using any other guns which sport limitations. For example:

The SCAR can compete admirably at ANY range. Minus the SCARAB, every other gun has some limitation to it.

The Grendel is a TAD bit stronger, but loses that advantage when facing an opponent in Armor Mode because of the delay in bursts. The Grendel is also at a huge disadvantage close-range because it's a 3-round burst gun. The final nail in the coffin is that the Grendel has a 24 round magazine vs the SCAR's 40, and takes longer to reload.

The Feline is a great CQC weapon. I've taken down LOADS of people in mere instants when I get close with this gun. However, the SCAR can do almost just as well at close range, and sports only 10 less rounds, which is more than made up for considering it's almost twice as powerful as the Feline. Also, its weak damage makes the Feline unacceptable for long range engagements, especially vs Armor Mode, so is only usable in tight, indoor maps.

Sniping with the DSG has its advantages, but you can still pick off targets at the same range using the SCAR and the no-recoil inducing Power Mode. It just requires a bit of suit energy.

Shotguns. Unless you're point blank, the SCAR is gonna win. Might I add that the SCAR also has a shotgun attachment...

Need I go on? It's not that I necessarily think the SCAR is OP, it's just that it literally does EVERYTHING. It's simply TOO flexible, it has no weaknesses, which makes the weaknesses of any other gun stand out even more. What the SCAR and SCARAB need are at least one key weakness.

I win very often with my scarab when i encounter a scar user at all ranges. Although I still think scar is too powerful for being the first assault rifle you get and in my opinion it should have its damage decreased.
