The Modding Community?

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 7:13 am

Hi,

This has probably been brought up in the past but what are Crytek's current plans in terms of the Modding Community?

One of the great features from the original Crysis was the ability to jump in to the old CryEngine 2's SandEditor and have a good tweak around with it all. How ever There doesn't appear to be any sign of an Editor in the initial release of Crysis 2, so i was wondering what (if any) are the possibilities of a later release of Modding tools?

Encrypted .pak files mean: no modding this time.

So I suggest to stick with SB2 and wait for an UDK competitor from Crytek which will be released this summer.

The crytek employees came from the modding community, don't worry, they're just pulling the bridge up to prevent competition :)
