Put a stop to the cheaters now? Look at the Leaderboards

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 10:19 pm

Anyone else notice that people with less than 7 hours of play are level 50? There is a guy with 2 min or 20 min however it is read (0:02) but in any case the best case is 20 min and he is level 50.

No disrespect to Crytek but come on, I'm no programmer but shouldn't this be something that should be focused on before the programming even begins? Like during the concept and strategy stages?

Yeah it's REALLY annoying.

Afaik there could be more then just one factor:

1. **** cheat coders had a head start with the leak.
2. I heard a rumor that people can join ranked multiplayer games without a REAL cdkey.
3. CryTek is gathering hackers and then banning them after next patch, it's really the smart thing to do in the long run.

But after all, there will NEVER be a hack free pc fps game, there are way to many childish insecure **** pc gamers that are willing to spend money on hacks and several coders willing to sell it.

It's sad but true...

Yea but at least crytek will reduce the majority of cheaters. Not only that i am sure they are hiring some smart coders to prevent this kind of thing. Yes there would always be some jerk out there trying to crack it but at least most servers we play will have no cheaters and who knows piracy can be prevented now they can't play online after the patch? Worth it? Yes..

It svcks they will keep trying to come back, it's a warzone out there but we all know.. skilled players prevail and cheaters kneel and lose anyways.

Maybe Punkbuster would fix it, the Battlefield series is almost hack-free.

They could be doing what Valve does with the VAC system on STEAM and letting them gather up. Then after a month or two throw the ban stick and legal action to who they can.

VAC is a joke dude.. trust me. They have a way around it. Punkbuster does it's job mostly and he's right.. battlefield 2 is almost hack free and that's nice to hear. Makes me wanna go back but meh.. tired of reinstalling things lmao.

Punkbuster does a great job IF EA sticks with it and pays PB the money to update it.

America's Army free PC shooter used PB and that game was near 99.90 percent cheat free, which for a PC
shooter is rare. Also Farcry 2 uses PB, it was about 70 percent cheat free till UBI dropped pb support for the game.
but still is about 65 percent cheat free.

You are as your grammar is horrendous.

Every single game has hackers, Battlefield has a rather substantial amount of them at that.
