So, using X for crouch...

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 10:59 am

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but I use the X key for crouch usually in PC games, however when i use X for crouch then for some reason I can't slide. But when I assign any other key to crouch, C, F, 1, 7 you name it, then slide works normally. So I don't know if this is supposed to happen but it seems like a very, very weird glitch to me. The same happened to me in the multiplayer demo too.

Is there any other key assigned to X?
Remember that in Crysis you can assign more than 1 action to a single key and there can be the problem. Just assign another key for the other action(s) and then X will work.

No, I don't have anything else assigned to X, just crouch. I'm just going to keep crouch assigned to C for now, because well, its only one key away from X lol. But none the less, I thought I'd just point it out because that doesn't seem right.

Weapon customization is set to X by default. What did you change that to?

Sounds like an issue with your keyboard, not C2.
You must have keyboard roller or ghosting issues.

You can google some tests for your keyboard. A good test is to hold both shift keys and type this sentence:
THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG
My Logitech G11 has no problems with this, but yours might.

I'm using L-CRTL for crouch... When I want to slide, I just hold down shift, and then press L-CTRL down with the middle part of my pinky... It's worked okay so far.

Ah, that's the problem, never had such a problem before until now. Guess I need a better keyboard. Ok then, thank you for the help everyone!
