Call of Duty copy, not crysis itself.

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 7:08 am

im sad to say that someone in crytek is mad about Call of Duty gaming so it was his/her idea to make crysis 2 like CoD copy. YES it is a copy. The aiming, shooting triggers, the movement. the suit is not so superb like it was earlyer. the profit moves to slow, even the speed mode is to slow.. chase the car with that.. lol. whatever..

the game isues and the lack of the 64bit support makes a little bit like dejavu like there was with microsofts vista. so eather you start thinking about crysis 3 to fix all of your misstakes and wrong way that you are going now. crysis allways was an unique game not even becouse of its suit abilities that is ripped off in this version. the movement, the graphics, the way player seeing the world was unique. now? just another Black ops. maybe i do not want to play black ops, maybe i want to play crysis. so think again. run black ops and crysis 2 besides and find differences. the suit makes no sence so the is no difference. turn off the suit and you have another black ops game. lack of ideas? ask of the community. listen of what they want and do that then you will get the best result. now there are just a little team and thats all.. yes the engine is great, works fine, but the game itself is not worth the money you ask. 20 bucks mabe, but not 60. listen to us (gamers), listen what we want and try to do that.

thats all for now. waiting for patches...

Is this a PC-specific issue? Why is it in this forum then?

Ask the community what it wants and get the best results! Seriously this guy's wisdom is beyond measure. If I was Crytek, I would hire this guy asap.

Hmm, well then i suggest we put the profit on an exercise regiment in order to boost its speed, making it faster.

I'm tired of this "it's like cod" ****. Can you change attachments on the fly in cod? No.

Can you do something as fundamental as change the rate of fire on your gun in cod? No.

Can you jump 10 feet in the air and ledge grab in cod? No. Can you cloak in cod? No. Can you air stomp in cod? No.

Can you customize your suit to allow you to play in the style you want to in cod? No.

Can you pick up objects like teddy bears and throw them at ****, pick up people, throw them into others or into a river in cod? No.

Can you get through most of a level without firing a single shot assuming the level wasnt linearly designed in that way to begin with in cod? As it turns out this is possible. Did the designers mean for you to make this choice in cod? No.

Can you sneak behind a team of mercs, detach a HMG then mow them all down without seeking cover because you have armor on in cod? No.

Can you powerslide cloaked...uncloak take out a merc with a silenced weapon while sliding by, recloak grab a barrel throw it in a crowd of mercs, shoot the barrel, jump onto some scaffolding absorbing fire only to recloak again, all in the same sentence in cod? No.

Can you power kick a car into an alien in cod? No.

Can you do something as reasonable as decide how you want to tackle a threat by using your environment in cod? No.

I've been playing crytek games since farcry and i can honestly say that I've been causing almost as much havok in this one as the previous games. True, there arent as many vehicles or destructible huts. I love how you can say "take away the suit and this game is no different than blackops". Yeah idiot, take away everything that makes a game unique and it will be like all other games in its genre. VERY PERCEPTIVE.

Amen, Raven. For heavens sake it's an FPS. What makes it unique is the darn suit. This can only be compared to COD in terms of FPS generally. I like the game. My only complaint is that you can't roam around like you could in Crysis (1). Well, that and the fact I can't get the 13th unlock for weapon attachement because it doesn't exist. But overall, I've really enjoyed this. I've played through a couple times now (doing post human now). I still haven't finished COD:BOPs because it was so boring and stepping 1 foot off script will get you killed.

Again. Amen.

Yes, Raven is quite right. The game is unique and a step above recent AAA titles, and you do have plenty of choices in how to tackle an objective whereas in most any other shooter, CoD especially, you really only ever have one option. I've played every Crytek game to date, and sure, I miss the magic of the open tropical island, but the environments in NYC are fun.

My biggest complaints are holding back dx11 (which I think is due to EA forcing the release not giving Crytek time to finish), a lack of destructible objects in the environment (scaffolds, signs, lamp posts, etc), and not having a proper anti piracy/anti cheat system in place. I also hope that a sandbox editor is brought out soon so the modding community can get to work on this game.

All in all, this game puts CoD and its cohorts to shame.
