CD Key In Use

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 12:27 pm

I bought crysis2 on steam and when I enter the cd key it's assigned me to play multiplayer, it waits until I try and select a server then tells me it's already in use... How could this be?

pirates are already using your keys, that's why it says in use
how pirates know what's your cd-key? CD Key Generators,
any random serial, even 1111-1111-1111-xxxx-1111 will work and you will be able to play online

Okay first of all... Your keys have not been stolen by pirates! I had the same problem

Fix:
1. Open Crysis 2,
2. Select "Multiplayer" and type in your key,
3. Go back to Single Player,
4. Now select "Multiplayer and re-enter your key... (This worked for me)

Added bonus you won't have to keep entering the key it will be remembered,
Enjoy :)

i actually tried to create a new profile with key 1245-1245-1245-1245-1245 and it worked :P
just think about it, 10,000 pirates type in random numbers as their key, one of them is bound to accidentally turn out to be a real serial, now think of 50,000 pirates, now think of Russia with over 100,000 pirates :3

Pretty sure the same key can be used twice and when you log on with a key that is in use that user is disconnected rather than yourself being rejected... This issue is not related to pirates stealing someones key?
