So, I think Prophet is Alcatraz, as in the end he said:They call me Prophet

The virus in nanosuit and madness from crysis 1 ending (prophet going alone to war) made him mad, losing his mind.

Then saved a soldier called alcatraz, and took his name. All those cinematics at the beggining happen only in his mind.

What do you think?

i thought the suit made Alcatraz to Phrophet :D
because he says they "call" me Prophet and not "i am Prophet"

Phrophet is somehow "saved" in the suit though his body is dead at least thats what i tought...
it could even be that the Prophet we saw in the into is a copy-Phrophet too

and maybe the Alcatraz-Prophet will die too at the beginning of crysis 3 so that someone new can join the circle of dying a Phrophet and new hero (who becomes the Prophet) xD

Maybe I just heard wrong at the end, but I thought it sounded like Prophet's voice when he said that.

I'll listen again once I get through the campaign a second time.

Crysis2 main focus is on the suit. The suit infuses with the human body and becomes "symbiotic" (Remember what Prophet said?). Crysis 1 was all about testing the suit in battle against the Ceph.

Prophet's DNA became so entangled with the suit that the only way he could "free" himself from it was to remove the suit and commit suicide. But, the mission to save mankind must go on, so he "gave" the suit to Alcatraz so he could continue the mission. Prophet "lives" on though because his DNA is infused with the suit.

All the while during the game, Alcatraz is also being integrated with the suit and consequently, Prophet. The alien Nano Catalyst that is collected during the game also acts as an organic life-support system for the host body inside the suit. At the end of the game, Alcatraz sacrafices his own body to take down the Ceph, however the suit survives and reconstructs the host body with the DNA of Prophet as well as Alcatraz from the collected Nano Catalyst.

The "madness" from the first game, was not the result of the virus. Prophet had his own orders/mission and he was to complete it at all costs. Prophet was acting independently from the Marines and was simply carrying out his mission to stop the Ceph.

Prophet was present in the suit from about 4/5 of the way through the game.
It's when the suit told you to "Haul ass, marine" in its voice, and the image of a head formed. XD

i agree with flugg, it's almost the same i posteted but more in detail

the story was good for a shooter but i don't really like the suit-mystery part, i know that it's an alien setting but that suit is somehow to "unreal" even for an alien shotter :D

I played through it again to gather more details on the story line.

One thing that still has me confused is Jacob Hargreave's origin. WTF is he? My first thought is something similar to the alien on Stargate where he is just trying to survive. It's difficult to see what the character is that's inside that green tube, but it doesn't look exactly "human". As best as I could figure, he/it is over 100 years old and somehow knew the Ceph existed for many years and were lying dormant on Earth. It seems he knew that at some point, the Ceph would rise again and wipe out the human race and to combat this, he had "stolen" the Ceph nano-technology and used it to create the Nanosuits that are seen in the games. Hargreave said he "woke up" the Ceph in during the events of Crysis 1 in order to test the effectiveness of the Nanosuits in combat. During Crysis 2, Prophet has become infected with the nanovirus and can no longer finish his mission and therefore entrusts Alcatraz (who is found near death from a Ceph attack) with the suit to carry out the mission. During the events of Crysis 2, Hargreave learns that Prophet is no longer his puppet and guides Alcatraz to finishing the assimilation of the suit with the Ceph spore to complete it's contruction and cause it to reach it's full potential. I think my synopsis of the story is around 90% acurate, but I am sketchy on the details. Though I still stand by my conclusion that the end character ("Prophet") is the result of combined Prophet, Alcatraz and Ceph spore, constructed by (and integrated with) the suit who will go on to level the playing field and battle the Ceph to save humanity. (Actually a pretty cool story line).

The main point is that ONE suit has collected the DNA of Prophet and Alcatraz as well as absorbed and modified the Ceph nano virus in order to create a super fighting "machine" to combat the Ceph. This was all the master plan of Hargreave.

Now, it's blatently obvious that this will (or at least is intended to) be a continuing series. I want to know what happened to Nomad and Psycho. I certainly hope they return in future releases.

Also, has anyone else noticed the striking similarities between the Ceph soldiers and the Decepticons from Transformers?
