Multiplayer Issues? Partial Remedy!

Post » Fri Jun 03, 2011 9:00 am

Even if you get your multiplayer key working, ranked matches are not starting for a majority of players.
  • This means the game is not working as advertised and shows poor workmanship and quality assurance.

Customers purchased the game at $59.99 USD or higher.
  • Customers are entitled to a working product

Partial Solution:
  • Customers in the United States and Canada can contact the Better Business Bureau
  • This is a an organization dedicated to watching out for business who release faulty products or poor service
  • You can file a complaint about the game here:
      https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/getstarted.aspx

File a complaint about either:
  • Crytek, which has offices in Germany, UK, Ukraine, and more
    • (for not maintaining proper services and poor workmanship on the multiplayer component)
  • Electronic Arts
    • (for publishing and selling a broken product)

You can't get ranked matches to start. If there were a fix, there wouldn't be an issue.

However, if you can get the multiplayer key working, unranked matches can start. Simply apply a filter to the matches and put an X next to ranked to enjoy the unranked matches that will not let you enjoy the entirety of the product you paid for.

Good luck lol..
If Crytek and EA don't wanted diminished reputations, the ball's in their court.

I'm familiar with the word "patch" or the means by which software is updated by a developer.

However, consumers have rights in most jurisdictions (including France) to working products and at least passable service. Since the devs have not yet acknowledged broken ranked play, I decided to post instructions on how to channel their frustration without any flaming, raging, etc. - which is good, imo.

It's better to stand up for consumer advocacy through proper means than posting angrily on a forum.

Just if we fill this thing, crytek won't be able to correct the bugs AND try to justify themselves or whatsoever, and there will be no patches at all, so the game will stay as it is now.

While reporting them to consumer advocacy groups won't cause fixes directly, it will still increase the pressure on both Crytek and EA to communicate clearly and effectively to their consumers as well as pressure them indirectly to fix said issues.

Silence doesn't achieve anything and time spent flaming them on the forums is almost as useless.

What I suggest in the OP is a means of expressing disenfranchisemant with Crytek and EA, without resorting to derogatory forum posts or simply taking it.
