Not yet, someone may develop a mod for it. Although the chat isn't particularly intrusive in this game i feel.

Text chat or voice chat?

I have not really noticed any voice chat and the text chat is only visible in the lobby when the chat tab is active.

the text chat in a Multiplayer Match. and the mini map in crysis 2 has to be located on the Top-Left position of the screen not the lower left corner.
